Born in California and raised there and then moved to Nebraska for my teenage years. Raised by both parents and have one older brother. Moved to Kansas City, Missouri in where I currently have resided for 6 years and counting. I have been married since 2004 to Alicia and have one son who was born in July of 2006. My joy is in Christ and Him alone. I too desire to see people liberated from the bondage of unsound doctrine and to find there place in the Body of Christ which was bought by the Blood of the Lamb. The main problem with the church today is lack of discipleship, lack of accountability, and fear of the Truth of one’s depravity. People need to see there true condition apart from Christ and that will either make then run or turn them to their only hope-that is Christ. This is my church. Here is my detailed testimony. It is Lionel’s and my prayer that this site is some way helps better equip you to be more effective for the Body of Christ.
In Christ Alone,
Tyris Sr.
I can’t seem to find an e-mail for you. I would love to speak with you further about checking out a site that I created. Maybe we could trade links. Please feel free to e-mail me to discuss.
Thanks.

Tyrus,
I want to extend my thanks to you and Lionel. I received my books today and I’ve already read “The Dangers of the Invitation System” and “Wasted Faith”. The latter was of most importance to me because this is an area in which I struggle. The subject of assurance. Please keep me in prayer and if you’d like to discuss it with me hit me on the e-mail and I can get into more specifics. Be blessed and thanks again for the books.
Hi Tyris-
Thank you for the transparent testimony. It is so refreshing to hear a non sugar coated account of what Christ has done in a brothers life.
To God be the glory!
I was browsing around on your churches web-site today and was curious: Are the pastor/elders mentioned on the Christ Fellowship of Kansas City web-page “maintained” by the congregation as paid staff or do they have other employment?
Hello Hutch, thanks for visiting. The elders at my local fellowship are all bi-vocational. Only one recieves a small salary from the church because he is new to the area and looking for a more flexible job. So to answer your question, yes all of the elders work outside of being a pastor. Thanks for your comments-God Bless.
hey Dacus, I am just now seeing your message from back in June, call me bro 816 916 0840-God Bless
I just recently stumbled upon this site and I enjoy it. I have a few questions if you could answer. First off I am in a struggle with my wife when it comes to our beliefs and who we follow. She folllows the likes of tbn teachers and hold to their view especially on the topic of money. Her favs seems to be bishop eddie long. I am more into studying myself and I think most of them are false teachers. The only teaching I listen to is ravi zacharias. Our church home is harvest church with pastor steve houpe(is that a bad church). To me it takes one instance of so called hearing from God and you are wrong for me to lael you false. Our pastor called for a healing at the alter one time and he said God told him the night before that everyone will be healed etc. Well we have a child with cp who wasn’t and neither was anyone else, but I am told I am in the wrong for the so called annointed soap he used was not from God. Anyway I just don’t know what to do. We don’t discuss it because she is stuck on who and what she believes and so am I. feel free to email me.
