Okay kinfolk I usually try to avoid addressing false teachers because there isn’t enough memory in the world to address them all; however, when I saw this I said “get the heck out of here”!!!!!!!!!! This dude done flipped his wig in the worst of ways. If you don’t know who this is, his name is Fred K.C Price and is an infamous wolf! His track record makes him a top villan. He has devoured many sheep and have left nothing but hoofs and clumps of wool behind.
Mr. Price has now been promoted to “The Apostle of Faith”. Now if this doesn’t upset you and make you want to scream at the top of your lungs I don’t know what will. This is a sham and it is a ridicule of the faith. Here is an excerpt of his promotion (if that is what you call it), pay close attention to the reference to the Apostle Paul’s ministry:
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (which he had promised afore by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name; (Romans 1: 1-5 KJV). The Call of Apostleship of Dr. Frederick K. C. Price mirrors that of Apostle Paul in that the Fruit of his ministry bears witness that This Call is From God.
You can find that here. Now if anyone is familiar to Paul’s to ministry we can clearly see how Paul was called SPECIFICALLY by God. Just in case you don’t know here it is:
9:1 But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” 5 And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6 But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” 7 The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8 Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9 And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
Jesus spoke directly to Paul and I wonder….. well….. how exactly did God confirm Fast Freddy? I am appalled by such a statement and you should be also. These men are one upping each other every day it seems like. One man calls himself a Master Prophet (what the what LOL). Whats next? Only time will tell.
Look if God has given you an allotment to watch over please talk to them about such foolishness. We can’t leave people in the dark. We can’t stick our heads in the sand and say “it will all go away” these churches are growing and people are getting duped by the millions. They are investing their souls into the hands of these wovles and we are letting them by saying “we don’t want to debate” that is exactly what we want to do. Just think if you saw someone walking into a burning building holding a newborn baby would you sit casually by saying “oh, I don’t want to be forceful”? Way too many people don’t understand the deadly venom these men relase into their veins and most won’t know if we don’t say anything.

Uh….an apostle?
So what does this new apostleship offer to Price? What does it allow Price to offer others for the Kingdom?
I will hold back from my keyboard for now….
Mark
You all sound like haters and false believers. Dr. Price has always been a man of integrity and faith. this newly appointment is a promotion from God himself. He did not ask for the appointment, He was given it by the men who look up to him. Stop putting your mouth on the men and women of God, and focus your attention on your President who will not sign into law marriage is between a man and a woman. Focus your attention on the fact that are founding states are legalizing same sex marriages, focus your attention the number of souls not Saved. And stop hating on Dr. Price.
I understand your concern that the Church needs to focus on the issues happening in our Country. However, it is our duty to hold each other accountable in the up keeping of the Kingdom of God. whether its correcting Dr.Price error in thinking he’s a apostle or correcting our children for telling a lie. Its all wrong to turn your back, which is destructive to the church. We are fortunate to have ministry like this because other Christians are keeping their mouths shut to the apostasy and biblical error in our churches. Because of this, we have become a joke to the world. even the world smells a rat when they hear one. It’s time to rightfully divide the truth of God’s word and hold each accountable. Is this not what the Apostle Paul in essence ministry stood for. He dealt with heresy in the church and he even put the Apostle Peter in check. Paul recognized this 2,000 years ago in that it’s critical to hold our own brothers accountable, so we don’t give the devil any place.
Travis please do not be fooled!!!!Fred Price and the whole wordof faith movement have deceived many folks!!! He is very arrogant if you listen to his tone. Please follow this link to see what an apostle is>
http://holinesstruth.tripod.com/id13.html
How dare you critize this great man of God. You must not walk in love according to the will of God. The word of God says “judge not lest ye be judge” It also states touch not my annointed and do my prophets no harm. I pray for you because you know not what you’ve done
I would not have you ignorant of this calling that has been given to the Apostle Fredrick KC Price. Everything even to his calling is accordance with the will of God. Ephesians 4:11 states “And he gave some apostles: and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers. 4:12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Apostle Prices’ appointment is within the will of God, written in the word with a seal of approval from the Most High. Now if you have a problem with that you need to take it up with the Father.
How dare you discredit the goodwork that someone is doing. In your angst to bring down Apostle Price I think you need to take a further look at the passages afte that and make sure that your heart is right and that your motives are correct. It also states that as long as God and Jesus are being preached what difference does it make. What you fail to see is that many are turning away from sin and are being saved on a daily thanx to Apostle Prices’ annointance. No one is putting a gun to there heads and making them do anything. Who are you to say whom God has called and whom he hasn’t how many souls have you saved lately. Check yourself.
I assume from his divine promotion that we are not allowed to question anything he says.
Scary thought, indeed.
Pure foolishness at its finest. You are right, we would be blogging forever if we kept up with the latest heretic. This is just insane man. I am in sunny california and am going to visit Pastor John e Coleman and I am sure PJ will take me by Fast freddies church today. I might become a crusader and take him out. Pray for me LOL.
Excellent Post! I enjoyed it.
I would compliment it by saying that I truly believe that Mr. Price is blinded by his own pride and has no idea of the dangerous assertions that he makes! But as you stated, he is not alone…
Yogi
Guys,
If God communicated with Paul, why is it impossible for God to communicate with Fred Price? Paul was once a Bounty Hunter of Christians, Fast Freddy is a Pastor that preaches the (supposedly) Infallible Scriptures of the Holy Bible. I think he feels he is really doing Gods work. God Bless Fred Price.
(Come on Guys, what’s a debate w/o opposition?)
This is a great blog! I’m glad someone is finally “outing” these supposedly Christian “superheroes” for what they truly are..the quintessential false prophets that the Master warned us about. They are leading itching ear “Christians” happily and joyfully down the wide path of destruction.
I ask again how far will they go to one up the next spiritual giant? It is like a competition on who can have the most spiritual title. It is ridiculous.
Hey Chuck,
It isn’t impossible it just ain’t happen! LOL!!!!! Remeber what I said bro. Many use the bible for personal gain and Fast Freddy is the epitome of such a thing.
Quote taken from Apostle of Faith site;
“While his service as Pastor and Teacher is extremely well documented and noted, there is another spiritual office in which Dr. Price has quietly, dutifully, and without fanfare operated, the office of Apostle.
As a result, Crenshaw Christian Center and the Fellowship of Inner-City Word of Faith Ministries believe that Dr. Price’s entrance into the twilight years of his life and ministry make the perfect time and opportunity to publicly acknowledge his service as an Apostle in and to the Body of Christ.”
So the affirmation comes at the “twilight” of ones ministry? And the affirmation is “affirmed” by his church and ministries?
“The Call of Apostleship of Dr. Frederick K. C. Price mirrors that of Apostle Paul in that the Fruit of his ministry bears witness that This Call is From God.”
Wow… what a bold statement!!!
Does worldly success equate to success in God’s Kingdom? Do we really think that God is impressed with numbers? Is He impressed with degrees of knowledge, documents that express the time we’ve expended in obtaining truth? We understand biblically, we understand doctrinally, we understand technically, we understand the Greek and Hebrew… therefore… we understand truthfully!!! And since we understand truthfully, there is NO way we could possibly be wrong!
This is the mentality of many in Christendom. The desire really isn’t for Truth, it’s simply to be right! And though God’s Word is infallible, we believe that make us infallible. And why not… look at what we’ve invested in understanding His Word!
I look at the world and all the things done in the “Name of Jesus Christ” and it saddens me. Because it is to the world that Christendom has made Christ appear schizophrenic! We blow up abortion clinics in “His” name, form polygamous sects in “His” name, preach health and wealth in “His” name, murder in “His” name… in the worlds eye, Jesus has simply become a god among many gods!
I Ain’t Nobody!
Well well well…it would appear that our little pimp has found a new way to promote himself. I guess with his new apostleship, he can binding decisions on doctrine and write us a little Scripture…NOT!!! It is disgusting that people like him are still around, yet it is a sad sign of the times that we live in
hi lionel,
there are many things that make me so upset that i want to scream from the top of my lungs but fred price’s “alleged apostleship” aint one of them. i think it’s just par for the course.
to be frank, i don’t see why this is such a big deal. when i first read about it, i think i yawned. if i should be outraged and i’m not- what does this say about me?
Hey Mrs. Maverick here is a qoute from Calvin about 500 years ago:
“”A faithful dog barks at the first sound of a thief and risks his own life to protect his master’s life and his family-shall the church be plundered by the thieving of the ungodly, shall God’s majesty be stamped under foot, shall Christ be robbed of his own kingdom, while we watch and say nothing?”(Calvin BLW p 19)”
Let me know what you think about the qoute and then we can discuss the frustration.
ok, lionel, i’ll answer your question first. luther is saying that in the same way a vigilant dog will bark to warn the members of his household of an intruder or any other danger, so should the Church of God stand vigilant to warn the other members of the household of faith when there is any imminent danger. Christians should not sit idly by while the Lord’s name is mocked and the enemies of Christ take advantage of the flock. this, i believe, is the gist of what he is saying- more or less.
but again, what has this got to do with fred being bestowed with the title of apostle? i still don’t see the cause for alarm. it won’t change anything that’s been going on for the last 30 or more years.
please tell me what it is about this that has you so frustrated. i’m obviously missing your point.
The reason why is that your answer shouldn’t be the heart of a Christian. Let me explain. What if tabloids were misrepresenting your Mom and ever year there was an annual addition that called your mom something she wasn’t (whatever is vile to you). Would you becom apethetic towards it or would you fight to clear your mothers name? Regardless of how many years they have re-released the material.
The same goes here. I don’t care how long people misrepresent our Lord and our faith and yes I can’t catch them all but that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t speak up as much as possible. You see God’s name is a stake here. We are His Covenant people and everything we cling to is because of His name. If He is misrepresented so are we. We are to speak bodly against those who blaspheme the name of YAHWEH and we can’t become apethetic no matter how well False Teachers are prospering. So 20 years from now when the next clown comes around calling Himself “an apostle” (which is the highest office one can posses) I will speak out bodly and become frustrated again.
So my frustration is because my Sovereign God is being misrepresented by a false prophet and I can’t sit by and let this happen with no conviction to speak up.
lionel, first, if i appear to be apathetic then i earnestly ask that you make that a matter of prayer on my behalf. i have and will take a bold stand when it comes to certain issues but again, fred’s “apostleship” isn’t one of them.
i certainly know that God is sovereign and because He is such, His plans will never be thwarted by man regardless to how high they may exalt themselves. the reason why i’m not moved by these guys anymore is because i finally understand that there will always be false teachers among us and there will always be people deliriously willing to flock to them desiring to have their ears tickled. that’s what i meant by it’s par for the course.
sure, we ought to speak out against anything false, be passionate about it, righteously indignant if you will, but at the end of the day- it is what it is. if i understand the doctrine of calvinism correctly, all that happens is decreed by God- people’s blindness, and people’s illumination, so why waste energy becoming frustrated by the shenanigans of false teachers? God is still on the throne, the ever lasting gospel is still going forth, and souls are repenting from their sins and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.
as far as quotes go, i prefer this one better: John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
there’s not a false teacher around who can prevent the elect from coming- therefore i don’t believe that fred, joel, oprah or WHOEVER has any power to take captive anyone who is decreed unto eternal life. Jesus did it for us and will yet continue to draw His own to Himself.
as long as the true message of the gospel continues to go forth, people will turn from darkness into His marvelous light. i never said i won’t continue to proclaim the good news. i’m just saying i’m not moved by flaky freddy’s foolishness.
Angela you said:
“sure, we ought to speak out against anything false, be passionate about it, righteously indignant if you will, but at the end of the day- it is what it is. if i understand the doctrine of calvinism correctly, all that happens is decreed by God- people’s blindness, and people’s illumination, so why waste energy becoming frustrated by the shenanigans of false teachers? God is still on the throne, the ever lasting gospel is still going forth, and souls are repenting from their sins and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation”
That is actually quite opposite of what Calvinist (who are 99.9% Reformed). That is the doctrine of Hyper Calvinist which we don’t hold to. We believe that God is Sovereign over all things but we don’t believe that we do nothing about it and that it is what it is. We still evangelize, feed the poor and preach the Gospel. All the while understanding that it is God “who gives the increase”. As it relates to waisting energy lets look at Titus and see what Paul says in the 1st Chapter:
“10 For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party. 11 They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach. 12 One of the Cretans, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, 14 not devoting themselves to Jewish myths and the commands of people who turn away from the truth. 15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.”
There are 2 things that we are called to do?
1. Silence them
2. Rebuke the sharply
You must understand that this isn’t a mistake but willful deception and many will be decieved with him. God will save whom He will save but the deception of the elect is still highly probable. This has no bearing on their salvation but their fruitfullness to the Kingdom. There may be quite a bit of people who are regenerate in Price’s church but they are decived non the less. It is our job to explain and to expose such deception and call him out on his wickedness. His motive of making himself and apostle is to deceive more and more people by equating himself with Paul and others this will give him a wider door to walk into people homes and spew his wicked doctrine of prosperity. Hope this explains it better.
I live in LA and I encounter many of the confused people that attend this church. What is sad about this is that so many of our people are so ignorant of the basics of the faith to avoid the host of such false teaching. I pray for a revival in our area that will combat the wave of demonic doctrines overwhelming our people.
Mr. K.C Spice is Founder and Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Frederick K.C. Spice earned his Bachelors of Biblical Studies, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies degrees all through Friends International Christian University. In addition to founding and pastoring Crenshaw Christian Center, and a flock of more than 16,000, Dr. Spice is the author of in excess of a dozen books on faith, the Holy Spirit, divine healing, and prosperity.
So please explain, how do you silence Mr. K.C Spice? He’s not a member of your congregation so you can’t excommunicate him. You can rebuke him but he could care less about what you think of him, again 16,000 members and growing, ever hear of this saying, “The squeaky wheel gets the oil” because the squeaky wheel’s making so much noise it gets the most attention.
Mr. Spice is a squeaky wheel, all of them false teacher’s with their jesus are squeaky wheels. The reason is, they need noise to draw attention to their nonsense. The noise you’re making just draws attention to Mr. Spice and his gang of THEFTS, their predators that eat the dead, the weak and the dieing, (let the dead bury the dead).
If you really want to see a miracle Preach the gospel of life, the gospel of Jesus Christ to these dead and dieing men and woman held captive in K.C Spice’s city of thefts, and watch the dead rise. Now that’s a genuine, holy cow, right out of the bible miracle. The gospel, that’s the wheel that should get all the attention.
To his Glory, and his alone.
lionel,
i didn’t realize there were different sects of calvinists, now i know. i guess by adding “hyper” as a prefix, it makes a difference.
brother, i’m not trying to be difficult here but can you please explain what you mean by saying”the deception of the elect is still highly probable. This has no bearing on their salvation but their fruitfullness to the Kingdom.”
i’m not sure what you’re talking about because it doesn’t make sense to me.
as far as the Scriptures go, of course i don’t ever feel it’s a waste of energy to heed them and i wasn’t advocating that. i said it’s a waste of energy to get frustrated over something you can’t do anything about. how you feel about false teachers won’t stop their proliferation.
as far as the two points you made from the Scriptures- i’d like to know how you propose to silence them, and how do you propose to rebuke fred price? i doubt that these people even care what bloggers are saying about them so please tell me how this is to be done.
ps. What about the pope who claims to be a Christian as well? he is the biggest false teacher of them all! i believe his flock is about a billion strong. are you equally outraged? i ask this in sincerity.
1. The elect can be can deceived in believing false doctrine. For example, many elect believe you must speak in tongues to be saved. Others believe that God wants to heal everybody but needs their faith. Others believe you must wear certain clothing or that you can’t wear make up or that you can only listen to certain music, or you can only have sex in certain positions, or that God wants them to be rich. I don’t think this has any bearing on their salvation but their doctrine is definitely jacked up.
2. I am saying we can do something by exposing false teaching when it goes too far. Many people have come to different blogs and figured out they have been doing this all wrong. So we are only a venue the Holy Spirit is the one who moves.
3. Silence then by exposing their fallacy. This doesn’t mean they will shut up or repent and then we mark them as false teachers. Sometimes the marking wasn’t for the false teacher but for the believer who would fall victim to the false teachers. The Judaizers didn’t stop, the gnostics didn’t stop, the false prophets didn’t stop in the Old Testament nor the New Testament and the Pharisees who rejected Christ didn’t stop, but that doesn’t mean we don’t continue to push and expose when necessary. Paul wasn’t concerned with the false teachers (he already called them anethema) he was concerned with the Galatians though and I only pray that someone from Crenshaw would come across the site and be challenged to think otherwise.
4. Depends as it relates to the Pope. I don’t think Catholicism as a whole is a false religion. Some may stronger disagree. I think they have some bad teaching But I am sure that quite a few are genuine Christians just as quite a few baptists are genuine Christians. As long as they are trusting in Chirst they are good to go.
Finally as it relates to the Pope most of the people that this site is aimed towards willl never consider Catholicism so I don’t talk about the Pope much. Most of the people will be followers of people like Price and his offshoots. I don’t pick on Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, or Muslims much either. If someone comes along Tyris or I will address it accordingly.
PS: there are hyper charismatics, pentecostals, Arminians (typically they are of the Pelegian sect) and other sorts. Hyper Calvinist is one who wouldn’t evangelize at all and for the most part we don’t mess with those fellas much.
Why would people who vist your site not consider Catholicism? According to you, I could be “Genuine” and be Catholic?

Please use scripture only,
Regarding this discussion, this is something which may help:
http://www.apologeticsindex.org/d01a.html
I agree with Lionel, that the false teachings common to Roman Catholicism are not what defines BEING CATHOLIC…..no more than all the false teachings with PROTESTANTISM define being a PROSTESTANT.
Something interesting I recently discovered from a friend—The term catholic (Greek katholikos, “universal,” from katholou, “in general”) was first used in the letter of St. Ignatius of Antioch to the Smyrnaeans (about ad110)..and The term was later used by Clement of Alexandria in his Stromata (Miscellanies) (who was apparently in the Bible too, Phil 4:3).
Though of course I’m not endorsing Roman Catholicism as something to go after.
lionel,
i am leaving off from the discussion about how we believe we ought to view fred’s apostleship and will just peacefully agree to disagree with you.
but one thing puzzles me. do you believe that that the pope (the self-called vicar of Christ, his SO CALLED “holiness”) is a Christian? the roman catholic institution has more false doctrine than all of the wofers put together (and they deceive more people too with their false Christ)
but you know what, with all the various doctrines out there, it stands to reason that none of us are 100% correct in all that we believe. so i suppose the pope is good to go.
Never said the Pope was a Christian. I think not especially if he holds to what Catholicism teaches as a whole. What I said is I am sure there are many Catholics who are Christians, just like I believe there are a lot of people who go to Creflo’s church, Jakes church, Price’s church and White’s church. If they believe in the Christ of the bible and His work on the cross and His subsequent ressurection from the dead, that is the Gospel. If any of these people from any of these camps adds something to the Gospel, rather that is Mary, communion, baptism or tongues they would MOST LIKELY be disqualified.
I know some Catholics who are Christians and they enjoy the structure of Corporate Worship there are many Catholic apologists out there also who don’t necessarily hold to all Rome teaches. I know many people who go to the Potter’s House being here in Dallas who are believers and don’t hold to a name it claim it theology. It really depends you have to take every believer individually and not put them all in the same bucket. Many are misled sheep not goats. And sheep are sheep regardless of their ignorance, I too was one until the Grace of God snatched me from the hands of hyper pentecostalism and WOF teaching. I was a genuine but confused believer then I am genuine LESS confused believer today.
We must be very careful not to lump people together. Once you talk to them (which many of us don’t want to do) we can find out if they believe in the Gospel. But that is what evangelism is for right?
now that is something i can agree with without reservation. we must communicate with people to find out where they stand instead of being hasty to condemn them all as being guilty by association.
i hate when everyone is painted with the same broad brush. i agree there are genuine believers in all denominations even in the wof camps. i was part of a ministry for 10 years where a lot of false teaching went on regularly. i was in Christ but as a babe didn’t discern the errors then as i can now.
I’m seeing all the accusations of Dr. Price being a false teacher. Can anyone share a few specific points of the doctrine that he teaches that are false.
Dr. Price has been operating in apostleship and or bishop for years. Many church leaders have come from Crenshaw that Dr.Price serves as the oversite pastor/mentor.
So please explain the falsehood-thanks
Hey Bob,
Here is a link
http://www.forgottenword.org/price.html
Now I am going to ask you to be honest. You are going to refute this and once you do others will respond to show you the grave error of Mr. Price. Now if we do that from scripture will you denounce him as a teacher from God? Please be honest because if not there is no use of proceeding because it will become quarelsome and I don’t do that any more. I pray that you would examine the text apart from any biases but I am afraid that this is usually not the case at all friend.
So, you are already saying that a person will not believe the proof that you provide?
I read the text on the page and I didnt see any mocking of God or the Scriptures. I am not about upholding blasphemy by anyone let alone Fred Price, but I do not see any proof of misleading God’s people. Atleast not from that text.
Keep it up Lionel good stuff on this blog,
Fellow dallasite!
Great site!
You may appreciate this site: http://www.justinpeters.org... Justin speaks out on this teaching and reveals the metaphysical roots of the WoF movement…
If you go to this site and click on “demo,” you can see a brief presentation of an overview of his seminar given at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is incredible!
Justin spoke at my church and comes highly recommended by my pastor, Dr. John MacArthur.
God bless you!
You stone throwers, I want to give you counsel from wisdom…
(The Saducees, ore than two thousand years ago, were trying to stop some real apostles from expanding the name of Jesus and not worried about their wealth.)
Acts 5
27And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
28Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
29Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
30The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
31Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
33When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
34Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
35And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
36For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
37After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
38And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
40And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
Let’s not be confused with the wealth of the new apostles, which we all are, and your fear of losing your post. FKCP will never be more than you think he is. Let us now argue about Christ in your life.
LeDOUX
What exactly are you saying?
I’m just curious. Does anyone here personally know the man of whom you speak about? If not, then how much do you know of him? Is all that you know of him things that you’ve heard from others, or information that you heard sitting right underneath him in a class or sermon? My grandfather did not request this. As a matter of fact my grandfather never requests any honor to be bestowed upon him. People, Pastors, Ministries and Universities have decided amongst themselves that they would honor this man in the various ways that they have already done. Did you think he requested the title of Dr. which comes as an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity? I don’t know the details of why he was bestowed that honor. I haven’t bothered to ask. My guess would be that in order to get a genuine PhD (in addition to having so many units and prerequisites, including a masters and bachelors degree) you have to write a dissertation based on extensive study and that which you right would or could be the basis of what you would or could teach. Well I know my grandfather and he is a researcher and a student of history, in addition to being a spirited filled minister and teacher who, via the Holy Spirit, is able to rightly divide the Word of Truth aka the Bible. Now is he the only one? Of course not. But is he a leader and great shepard? Absolutely. He has taught hundreds of lessons and almost all of them took thorough preparation. I don’t know if any of you watched the Race, Religion and Racism series on TV but that is vintage Dr. Price: detailed, accurate references, and consistent review, which many view negatively as redundant. Of course my grandfather’s response is the reason he repeats is because people still haven’t gotten it yet. And what do you if you don’t know a telephone number or vocabulary word or anything you want to remember? You review it, repeat it, go over it and/or put it before you until it is not only embedded in your mind but you are also able to speak it without hesitation. Anyways, i always find it interesting to google my grandfather and see what the world has to say about him. It’s fun, because I’m here, so very close to him and interesting to read what those who know only what the hear or read about him from others or may have only heard a portion of a teaching, usually out of context or just have a different belief system than him. It truly is interesting. Saddening sometimes because some of it is hurtful, negative gossip but most of the time it is entertaining. Anyways, it would be difficult for you, me or anyone to count the number of people that have come to Christ and/or have had their lives changed for the better as a result of the work and ministry done by my grandfather. I’ve always taken for granted who (I’m now finding out for myself) he was and is and now cannot wait to see who he will be. And trust me, all this pul-pit pimping stuff, it’s just a matter of what doctrine you believe in and everyone believes in the true doctrine. Just ask any Presbyterian, or Baptist, or Catholic or Lutheran, or Pentecostal, Non-denominational etc. It ultimately boils down to what is it YOU believe and what sits right with your spirit and mind. That’s what you should go by and if you get that kind of peace by saying that my grandfather, the man that has requested that the board of directors pay him a salary that they feel he is worth relative to the nature and scope of his work and importance to the ministry, the man that then takes that same salary and gives 40% back into the Body of Christ OFF THE TOP, the same man of whose wife is still active in the ministry but has given ALL of her salary back to the church and works (NOT RETIRED) at age 74 for free, the same man who if you tried and payed the most money you could for the best detective in the world you still couldn’t dig up any dirt on the man except that he is related to someone who has had an issue, then you go right ahead. Who am I to stop you. My flesh implores you to continue for entertainment purposes, but since I am not my flesh, my spirit does the opposite and begs you to stop because speaking down on a man of God cannot look good on your record in the Book of Life, if in fact you believe in such a thing. Good Day. P.S. I invite any of you if you are in town to join us Friday night, July 25th, at 7pm for the Pubic Affirmation of my grandfather as an Apostle of Faith. He has been doing this work already, for a very long time and humbly receives the title, but it won’t change much for him because again, he’s already been doing the work. But anyway. Enough said. You all be good.
I agree with Alan, it’s easy to set back and critique someone we don’t personally know. Most of the comments on this post is based on assumptions and opinions of thought not facts. I personally use to be a member of Fred Price church before he became famous. This man was instrumental in the salvation of thousands and maybe millions of people. Most of the black churches in Los Angeles are auxillaries of Dr. Price’s ministry, if not directly indirectly. Many people owe their salvation to the grace of God given to this man. So when we blast someone for something we disagree with, we need to make sure we address the teachings and not the teacher. To label someone a false phophet or a false-teacher is dangerous ground if were wrong. Jesus said, when they persecute you, they do it unto me! Without getting into definitions, if DR. Price is called of God as an Apostle (not after the order of the twelve), but an Apostle according to Ephesian 4:11 which where the churches first “missionaries,” then most of you would be committing the same sin as Paul and the Pharisies.
I agree there are many false phophets and teachers today, but most of them aren’t the men receiving all the press and attention. Most of the issues in the church today is the lack of knowledge. We have all this word, but are spiritually blind. The same critierion used to crucify Jesus is what we use today to identify who’s of God and who’s not, (the law) oh… I mean the Word! Jesus, said if you can’t believe the words I speak, at least believe my works…! Look at the works of these men and you will easily see what work looks like your daddy’s work and what work is the devils. That’s if of coarse you can reconize the works of God! I may not agree with every word Dr. Price speaks, but without him I would not be here today! 20 years ago when I was hooked on crack, I had three things that got me through, Fred’s tapes on faith, my bible and the Holy Spirit! Say what you must, but we will see when all the smoke clears, who’s on God’s side! Take away his ministry and millions would be lost not knowing Christ! I was told, that this is the work of God, “That men believe on Jesus,” who cares what we call each other – Did not the Pharises kill Jesus because of what other’s called him! One last thing Jesus said, “first pull the beam out of your eye, so you can see clear enough to pull the mote out of your brother’s eye.” I assumed all of you have taking care of your beams…I’m still working on mine!
Hey Alan,
1. I don’t personally know Satan, Jim Jones, Joseph Smith nor Farrakhan. Doesn’t mean I can’t call their teachings false and their self-appointment to Apostle even falser (is that a word)?
2. We are not judging Mr. Price as a man but as a false teacher of the prosperity persuasion. He may be a great man and given your concern and response he must be.
3. Actually he is a bad leader and a bad shepherd as it relates to the Gospel. Maybe he leads in other areas well but the Gospel isn’t his forte.
4. What makes you assume he is a “man of God”? Furthermore where does the bible even mention anything about a man of God?
5. I am glad he gives money back. Now what about the Rolls Royce? The House? The land? and everything else? How about not receiving such lavish gifts from the “church”?
Thanks for you response but I gracefully disagree with you..
Alan, Alan, Alan,
1. I am not judging Mr. Price. I am concered with his false prosperity teaching that is plaguing the church. He propogates this at every hand.
2. Why exactly do you believe he is a man of god?
3. Actually most of the false teachers and prophets receive a bunch of the press attention. They are all over the media, they own the biggest houses, the nicest cars, they have the most ridiculous salaries and they affiliate with the same type (each kind reproduces after its own) and Mr. Price qualifies.
4. I have sin my brother, but propogating bolonga doctrine is not acceptable my friend. It undermines the gospel.
Lionel,
the answers you are looking for lie in the fourth sentence of Alan’s post..
What is that exactly djenk?
that Mr. Price seems to be Alan’s grandfather and that might make him just a lil biased in his opinion
Oh yeah I saw that. Thanks brother.
I am all too familiar with Fred KC Price. I have listened to a lot of his stuff when I was in Seminary at Oral Roberts University. It is guys like this, that led me to write, stuff like this.
It only seems to get worse.
Hey J.R
Very nice post indeed. You are an ORU guy? Fan of Creflo? Just kidding. God bless and I enjoy the dialogue over at http://www.assembling.blogspot.com
I can say, having been a follower of Dr. Price for years, that this man is not a false teacher. Be careful of the things that you say and claim, because you are not going to give an account of what you’ve done, but of what you’ve said on that great day. I must say that the Prosperity Message is alllllll throughout the Bible. If you think it isn’t, look directly at Jesus. JESUS WAS NOT POOR! That’s why black folk think it’s ok to struggle now because we assume that Jesus was poor. You better read your Gospels a little more carefully. That money bag that Judas was stealing from obviously had to have something in it for the other disciples not to notice. Jesus obviously knew (and that is an assumption) but if he knows all, he knew that. The disciples were not poor men whatsoever. Some were professional fishermen and Matthew specifically was a tax collector–a CROOK. He stole people’s money just because he could. He was RICH. Jesus was not going to pick poor individuals to follow him, not because he needed money, but because the poor would follow him because of his example and the fact there were no riches to block their view of him. The disciples really had to learn to love and receive from Jesus from their hearts. So many things Jesus taught them were about the matters of the heart. The fact the Fred Price has a Rolls, or lives in a house bigger than you could ever imagine, is not your problem. You can remian broke and busted because you do not believe the prosperity message-but recognize something, that message goes far beyond money. It is not just about money. It is about living a truly wholesome life. You could be filthy rich, but without the rest of the Word, you’re going to be miserable. This man has led many to salvation and taught principles that have led to the prosperity of many people. IF you would have watched the affirmation last night, you would have found that now, APOSTLE Price (yeah I said it–APOSTLE) had absolutly no clue of what would be going on last night. The rest of FICWFM decided that he should be elevated into this spiritual office. So I have no clue why you are complaining about what took place last evening–it was not forced upon you nor did it take place against your will. Pull some people like Sheldon McCarter out into the open. Or Jimmy Swaggart or Ted Haggard. So I’m going to take up for my APOSTLE and my BISHOP. IF you got a problem with BISHOP I.V. Hilliard–take it up with me.
Okay Ken,
I will respond in list format if that is okay with you.
1. I never said Jesus was Poor. However he didn’t own much either. He was born in a manger, borrowed boats to travel, borrowed a donkey on Palm Sunday, borrowed a place to eat the passover meal, and borrowed a tomb. Now I am not a financial planner but that is a lot of borrowing for a rich man.
2. What if that money bag had the equivalent of 20 dollars in it. Don’t forget Jesus got money for a fish to pay for His and Peter’s taxes. My grandmother has a lot of purses don’t mean there is much in their.
3. Who said I was broke? My account number is 12345-67890 It is at the Swiss Bank of Sydney check my account I got grown man money, Bill Gates money, Tall, deep, wide and long so you suckas can’t hate money! I am saying the bible doesn’t teach prosperity if so can you please write something on it and I promise I will post it here for a love offering of no less than a Gulfstream Jet!
4. Yes you did say Apostle thanks for pointing that out friend.
5. Who is the FICWFM to elevate anybody anywhere? I thought is was Jesus who gave gifts to men when He ascended (Ephesians 4) and the gifts are given by the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12)
6. Is he an Apostle-Bishop or Bishop-Apostle? Or is he two different people when he is two different offices?
7. How do I take it up with you? Do you have a number I can call? Do you have office hours? Where are you located?
But forget all of the jokes (which most of that stuff was). Truth is brother, you have a very warped view of the scriptures and I am concerned for you. Christ never promised us health, wealth or prosperity, at least not in this life. He promised us a thriving relationship with Him and His bride in which all were baptized into. You see the prosperity message only floats in a free economy and most of the world is neck deep in the pond of poverty. It works well here in the U.S and England but very poorly in other places. If you read Hebrews 11 you will see that many godly man and women died with nothing. Some died with a lot. But most of all they died in Christ. So I hope that you are trusting in Christ and not what Mr. Price says Jesus can offer. Christ came to set us free from the power of sin and death, not decay and poverty.
Finally if God wants us to be healthy and rich why does he allow us to get old and sick and die (none of the false prosperity preachers have come up with an answer to this one). You see we are all going to get old and some disease or some type of body failure is going to engulf us. How does your message of health hold up against that? Finally Jesus consistently tells his followers to not store up treasures on earth but in heaven. I hope that you doing that my friend.
I must respond to this because you guys obviously have not been reading your bibles. How dare you question the Apostle Affirmation service of Dr. Price. If you research more you will find out that this was not Dr. Price’s idea or his wish. Other men and women of God around the nationcame together and wanted to do this. Many of you maybe wondering why you can’t get ahead in life or why your family stays so sick, and why things may be up and down in your life. Well I stopped by to let you know that the bible says, “Touch not my anoiting and dod my prohet no harm” If we don’t understand men and women of the cloth it is not our job to put our mouths on the work that they profess. In the evnt they do not do what is right it is for God to judge, not his people. I pray for you. And you should pray for God’s people. Be blessed!
Angela,
As my good friend Melvin would say over at http://www.pulpit-pimps.org “I only put my mouth on my wife”!
Hey you ever notice that Paul and Barnabbas were going to be deemed gods but they turned the opportunity down, and they wanted to make Jesus an earthly king and He said no. Could Price be persistent enough not to accept it? Sure he could. Also read Mattew 7 and 1 Corinthians 6 and see what it says about judging.
Woah Angela! Firstly, there is nothing mature about baseless ad hom attacks on Bro. Lionel’s family health or his progress in any area of his life – that’s just childish.
Secondly, please open your eyes and look at this guy! Fred Price doesn’t seem intimidated by being dubbed an “Apostle” even though he is a documented heretic, and doesn’t even meet one of the prerequsites of the NT apostles. For him, he deserves it (knowing his attitude, he probably thinks so too) so why should he practice humility and refuse it?
Well lionel, you make a good point, but a bad one. You obviously don’t read the same Bible I do. Because mine says:
In St. John 10:10 that Jesus came to give us life and that
we could have it more abundatly.
In 3 John v 2 that God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health.
Galatians 6:7 says that God is not mocked and whatever a man sows that is what he reaps.
Jesus didn’t tell Peter to look in the mouth of the fish just for the tax money, he was trying to teach Peter a lesson.
The title Bishop is an office first of all; the gift of Apostleship is a gift from Jesus Christ. An apostle is above a Bishop in terms of spiritual maturity and the possession of the five-fold ministry gift. Typically, most of the Apostles I know (including the Apostle Paul) at some point flowed in all five of the ministry gifts. The ability to teach the Word, Pastor the flock, prophecy, and evangelize. Apostle Price flows in all of those at some point in his ministry.
Oh and the answer your question about why we die, read the first three chapters of your bible (if you don’t know, that’s the book of Genesis.) The answer lies in the sin that Adam committed in the garden of eden.
Oh and to clarify Bishop I.V. Hilliard is a completely different individual. He is a spiritual son of Apostle Price. Until you can show me circumstantial evidence of why Apostle Price is a heretic, I’m going to continue to defend him. Until I have probable cause to reject the prosperity message, I will.
AND just to let you know, this message changed the life of my good friend and church member. She now owns her own business and is making quite a hefty amount of money. And before you throw this at me, the reason I didn’t use myself as an example, is because I’m just a student in position for graduation this year…but I’m straight A honor roll.
Ken,
You have provided the typical word of faith verses. I appreciate the conversation but must admit we would just throw scriptures around and at the end of the day neither of us will be edified. I truly hope you are trusting in Christ and if you are then you are my brother indeed. I do want you to know that Mr. Price is a false teacher full of error and scripture twisting. Is he a brother I don’t know, is he to be avoided the answer is yes as a teacher. Take care my friend and I do hope the best for you. I also hope that you can come back and visit the blog or even call me. My number is always available if you like. God bless.
Ken and Angel, I am a pastor and therefore the Lord’s anointed.. so you better not disagree with me when I say Fred KC Price preaches a false gospel of prosperity.
http://www.morethancake.org/2007/11/according-to-gospel-of-greed.html
Lionel,
I just happened to stumble across your divisive thread. Before I go further, I won’t use the term “Apostle” in this reply because you obviously are ignorant and don’t “get” the significance of what this term means as it pertains to Fred Price. Fred Price is a deserving minister of no conceit and pretense and he (and his wife) are very comfortable in their own skins with people calling them by their first names. After all, Jesus (who also has no conceit or pretense), walked this earth without requiring individuals addressing Him with honorifics when speaking to Him. By the way, what office of Ministry are you in Lionel? Do you have a call on your life to Minister? Just wondering…..
For you and others who would want to spend valuable time to make ill-informed statements and opinions about Fred Price leads me to conclude that you have WAY too much time on your hands. Instead of allowing yourself to spew soooo much crap about a man who has had more positive impact on millions of people’s lives, you could be doing the same by doing at least of what is required by getting the unsaved saved. Instead, you and others choose to spend time creating strife – a quick look at 2 Timothy 2:23 will prove this out. In short, the scripture will give you clarity with what you should do when you’re unlearned on an issues. Since you and others don’t understand what has been bestowed on Fred Price, you should just pray that God Almighty give you a revelation and in the meantime, KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF (and spare me the line about “Freedom of Speech” – God’s rules supersede the laws of the land). If you feel that the “Apostle” title for Fred Price is blasphemy and an abomination, then I do believe that God is more than able to handle His business and chastening those that need to be chastened. Having said that, if you feel that you are spot-on with what you are doing, then continue with what you’re doing. However, if it turns out – when you meet God face to face – that you were mistaken, you will have a lot to answer for and I wouldn’t want to be you. I just thought you should be aware of what your blog could end up being for you on That Day when you are face to face with Him – and since you have read this far, you can’t say to The Almighty that you weren’t warned, because you have just been served a fair warning.
Furthermore sir, let me educate you on a few things from your post on 7/23: The house, land, etc. is not in excess – in fact, he should have more. You make it seem like Fred Price is a freewheeling spendthrift who has taken monies from the church and is spending it on himself – which is so far from the truth. First of all, there are laws that prohibit non-profit corporations from doing things which you assert – if he were doing these things, he would have been hemmed up a long time ago by the Feds for fraud. Fred Price does earn a salary (and not a huge one I might add) and what he does with the salary that the church’s board pays him is his business. I mean really, you don’t see me questioning your decision on your choice of furniture in your house, or the type of car your drive, etc.! Plus, if there were some financial malfeasances on his part, then the church wouldn’t be able to maintain a 30 acre piece of prime real estate in Los Angeles where it’s headquartered as well as a church in New York City and a with facilities, operations, aviation and payroll that aren’t cheap. I run successful business and I practically scream when our company received its annual business insurance bill – our company doesn’t have a need for the volume of real estate, operations, etc. that the church needs and uses, and I shudder when I think about how much it costs the church annually for its insurance!!! Plus, the maintenance, upkeep, etc. (which is extremely expensive) is no joke from a cost perspective. If Fred Price were taking all of the money and doing his own thing, the church wouldn’t exist presently and he’d be in jail. Also, let me upgrade you……Fred Price DOES NOT have a Rolls-Royce – he has a Bentley. The Bentley WAS NOT given to him not by the church membership nor the corporation of the church, but by a group of people who wanted to give him a special gift for his 70th birthday (none of the individuals involved in this gift were coerced to do this by Fred Price or his family). The Rolls-Royce that he HAD was given to him by the church membership via a freewill gift for his birthday in 1985…..an old car by today’s standards – so why are you so hung up on an old car? It goes to show you that you don’t know Fred Price at all – the man is one of the biggest financial givers and of the most frugal individuals who has sound money management skills….skills which he has shared with the congregation and television audience….skills which have helped me to become a person of considerable financial and material wealth. Having said that, do you have a problem with me being able to pay cash for a home or a car….or helping to further the Gospel by donating my time and large sums of money to help the cause…..or buying gifts for people that have had a great and positive impact on my life??? Just so you know, all ministers salaries aren’t majestic in size – so if people want to bless him with gifts (which he, his family or representatives of the church’s corporation DO NOT solicit), he should be more than able to accept and enjoy such gifts. I’m sure if someone were to bless you with a Bentley or Rolls-Royce or whatever, you would drive that thing around with a great big smile on your face and praising God all the way…..and don’t even think about saying that you wouldn’t because you’d be lying. Certainly you don’t have a problem with the financial wealth of Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and the like have. If any of them chose to give Fred Price a personal gift of $2 billion, that’s their business and I’m sure that Fred would put 40%-60% of that money right into other growing ministries as well as CCC.
Lastly, your statement on 7/28 that “…Mr. Price is a false teacher full of error and scripture twisting…” is unfounded. A person who genuinely practices what is taught in God’s Word – which Fred Price teaches, can and will arrive at the same place the He and millions of others have arrived. If you were smart, you’d put what is taught (all Bible-centered and untouched) to use so that you could be in a better place both spiritually and financially. You should be so thankful that Fred Price has shared the information with the masses in his office as a minister – otherwise, he could just be a wealthy person of color who studied the Bible and achieved spiritual and material wealth by simply following what God’s Word says. If it were me, I wouldn’t be inclined to share such information with the masses if I knew that individuals like you would have this “crabs in the bucket” mindset. It’s astounding that in 2008, people of color like yourself are so blinded by negativity that you can’t even see how what is ministered can help you arrive in a place so that you can live a better life (I’m sure you have bills, debt of some sort, etc. and are looking for some definitive relief). As for myself, I will continue to do what I have been taught and will be even wealthier this year than last year. What about you? By the way, have you achieved any level of spiritual or material gains as a result of you starting this blog…..if so, please let me know the scriptures which details how you or anyone would arrive at such a level of success so that I can examine it for myself.
If Fred Price weren’t having a positive impact on so many people, then the “trappings” of success which you and others are so topically caught up with wouldn’t exist. Despite your feelings about Fred Price, you should a least be thankful that a man such as him exists because he has helped raise the level of expectation of practically every Black person in America in one form or another, either directly or indirectly.
Also, J.R. Miller – you may very well be a pastor – but you come off like a hack. Just like you, Lionel and others have asserted themselves to spew crap about Fred Price, Ken, Angel a host of others and I have every right to shed the truth to combat your divisive statements. If you are truly God’s anointed, certainly you have better things to do with your time than to try and be as stupid to threaten someone with your ministerial position. You must be a very little person who is trying to compensate for specific lacks somewhere in life. It makes me wonder how prosperous your ministry is as well as the spiritual wellness of your congregation – despite how large it might be.
Lionel, you and your kind should flee hateration. It’s old, worn out and totally un-Christlike.
Hey Agape,
Did Jesus who was crucified, Paul who was beheaded, James who was beheaded, John who was beheaded, and a slew of other Christians who have died for their faith prosperous. Not to mention our brothers and sister in China, Pakistan, India, Iraq and other place are being killed daily. Many of our brothers and sisters in Ethiopia and Sudan are dying everyday are their ministries successful? What do you deam to be a successful ministry?
Yes I am a minister read 1 Peter 2. I am actually a priest with a very successful “ministry”.
Amen agape. Has anyone read the book of acts were as the priest were trying to plot against the apostles sayin that they were in error and trying to find a way to get ride of them. Well out of all of them there was only on who had some since saying that if there ministry is not of God it will soon come to nought but if it is of God then you won’t be fight against but God himself. Please believe that God is by no means asleep on the wheel, we have seen it time, and time again with those that are in the ministry regardless of how big or small there ministry is and how many people that they tryed to pay to cover up there mess that the scripture “that which you have done in secret I will reward you in public” always holds true from david to Jamall B., and from Eli’s sons to Jimmy S. But every thing that people have thrown at Fred Price has never stood longer than a few months because of the man’s integrity. Now I earge every one please stop at look at you ministry before you judge the next man. YOU CALLED NO ONE INTO THE GOSPEL JESUS DID!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful day.
Hey E. Woods,
You brought up some good points. One being the use of the scriptures from Acts 4 (I think this is what you are referring to). And you are absolutely correct. As the post come through I don’t know if this post was a big help at all. Maybe more frustration than not. I do believe Mr. Price to be a false teacher/wolf, but I should teach against the theology and not the man and allow God to bring it down if He so pleases. Great scripture reference and I actually was wrestling though that this weekend.
Please note that I am not fighting against God but I am trying to assist Him and that could be just as dangerous. God bless. By the way I have looked at his ministry and it doesn’t stand the scrutiny of the scriptures. I hope that you can see that.
ok. So let’s say Jesus was poor and we are to follow in his footsteps and be poor just the same. Now, how do you, as a poor person, go out and change the life of another poor person who lives in poverty and poor health? Do you give them food? If so how much? As much as they need despite your financial ability or as much as you can afford? What happens when you resources dry up? Is it that you are putting your faith in God to supply all your needs? Well it is by no means a NEED for you to give such a person food, your only need is to get them saved. It would be your DESIRE to give them food and medicine, because then they will be more inclined to hear the Word. And if God doesn’t supply you the desires of your heart, you’re out of luck (good thing he does though). So you are ultimately at the mercy of others (ie the world since Christians are to be poor like Jesus) to supply you with finances in order to get poor, unhealthy people to join a faith with other poor, unhealthy people who will eventually die of some disease or illness as someone put it earlier. And this is what you profess the Scriptures to say. Apparently you haven’t rightly divided the Word. It must easy for you to read the Bible and understand everything because you’re taking every word, phrase, sentence, punctuation mark, etc at face value. Let me the first to tell you that the Bible is not merely a reference manual but a Spiritual book, that requires the Holy Spirit to truly understand and decipher all that lies within. That is why so many make claims against men like Fred Price, a man who receives his teachings by REVELATION. You don’t understand it. You don’t understand his relationship with God. It’s funny because it echoes the scribes and pharisees who didn’t understand Jesus and his relationship with his father. But Jesus didn’t come here to live, he came specifically to die so there was no need to make a foundation and home here. But I can almost assure you that if you believe the Scripture as it says in Revelation 21:21 “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass,” then if Jesus did decide to come to earth and live then he would live very close to where he came from, far grander than any of the kings of the old testament of whom he was the reason they were blessed. We are not here to die, but to live. That was his reason for coming, so that we may have life and life more ABUNDANTLY. Not life and life less abundantly. Now I’m curious, how would YOU describe an abundant life? And however you describe it, that is where YOU need to put your faith until it comes to pass for you. I define an abundant life, firstly as an abundance of life, to live as long as my body can stand and die of old age and worn out temple rather than some disease, a prosperous life where I don’t have to slave in an office most of my life and can have more time with family, more resources so that I can bless the kingdom and if I didn’t go myself, SPONSOR missionaries to go do the work of the Lord. I could go on, but the real issue here is that there is a devilish spirit at work in the minds of men. It must be if a person claiming to love Christ spends his time, any time, speaking ill will against another who claims to love Christ. Now if you don’t believe him then that’s fine, but it is not up to you to judge. If you’ve read the old testament God has a way of dealing with folx, granted he doesn’t do that kind of punishment since the new convenant, but he will definitely allow something to happen to you if you allow it. That’s the essence of free will. So if you are a heretic, and speaking false doctrines then you are open and more likely to succumb to the attacks of the enemey (Satan). Well my Grandfather has been attacked a number of times in his life but has never succumbed. He must be rolling with God. Only Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came so that we could have life and life more abundantly. Any will tell you that my Grandfather looks great for being 76 and there is no doubt that he lives abundantly and thats with giving over half of everything he earns back to God. Oh yeah, his tithing has almost reached 50%, almost 5 times what is required by God’s law. And as a result of the bountiful seed he sews, he reaps also bountifully. And it comes from everywhere. I will conclude with a question: You call my grandfather a heretic and false teacher, yet he says nothing to you or in reference to you; didn’t the scribes and pharisees also consider Jesus to be a heretic, blasphemer and false prophet? Were they wrong? Is it possible that you are wrong? If so and to echo Agape, do you really want to be held accountable for promoting and promulgating this kind of message against one of the Lord’s most brightest pupils?
Lionel,
It’s simple – as I stated to a degree in my previous message, a successful ministry is one in which the congregation, viewers, etc. apply what is scripturally taught to their lives and then have the positive results that come forth from said message. Yes, those that you have mentioned who have died for their Faith ARE successful because of their endurance and the fact that they are keeping folks out of hell. Keep in mind that the challenges that they are faced with comes as a result of the fact that they are ministering Salvation in regions which aren’t Christ-friendly. Since you and I live in a country which – for all intents and purposes – is Christ-friendly, we have an advantage over those in other regions and are able to not only be taught and receive Salvation freely (and not be persecuted by governments and such), but also receive the benefits that come with Salvation (healing, deliverance, financial & material prosperity, etc.) – should we choose to accept and apply them to our lives. I will add that there are many financially anemic Christians in the U.S. and worldwide and their decision to remain that way is their choice. However, it does not do them or anyone any good if they aren’t economically empowered to go out and fulfill The Great Commission. The last time I checked, traveling abroad or to support missionaries in regions around the world cost money – so where is that money coming from? Is God dropping it out of the sky?
It might interest you to know that Fred Price, the ministry at CCC, FICWFM, etc. are Missions-minded first and foremost and do financially support Missions quite extensively and have established successful Missions bases worldwide to proclaim Jesus.
Let me clarify the query from my last message: as a minister – what title do you hold within the five fold ministry that God established (Ephesians 4:11)? I’m glad that you mentioned 1 Peter 2 because the first verse in that chapter really reinforces the point that this thread is divisive. In addition, if you look at the 9th verse of that chapter you will see the term “royal.” “Royal” connotes wealth and prosperity. Since God has proclaimed a “royal priesthood,” one can conclude that He is not opposed to wealth. The fact that the streets of Heaven are made of gold are evident of this. Furthermore, Psalms 35:27 underscores God’s approval of prosperity.
Some passages for you to marinade on:
Luke 6:37-39
John 14:12
1 Timothy 6 (THE ENTIRE CHAPTER)
But Alan doesn’t God want us all to be healthy, prosperous and wealthy in EVERY area of life? If so then why can’t God still bless them in regions that are “not friendly” to Christianity. So that means that what God wants is blocked by the strength of the government in those anti-friendly nations. That means that God’s Omnipotence is called into question right? He isn’t stong enough to bless those people though He wants them blessed.
Agape,
So in the context of 1 Peter 2 Royalty=Worldy Wealth? Hmm… That is interesting, interesting indeed, so what does the chosen nation, living stones, and spiritual house refer to?
Why is it important which Gift I posses? Paul says “if I am to boast I am to boast in the Lord” Jesus tells the disciples “don’t rejoice because the demons are subject to you, but rejoice that your name is written in the book of life”.
Alan,
How do you know how much your grandpa gives? Jesus says “don’t let your left hand know what your right is doing” as it relates to giving and the such. We are to give in secret correct? So how do you know how much he gives then?
Lionel,
It is clear and self explanatory what “chosen nation” & “living stones” & “spiritual house” refer to. The “royal” mention in verse 9 connotes all things royal both here on Earth and in Heaven.
The reason why it is important to know what area if ministry your are in possess is because you state that you have a successful ministry. I am not asking you to boast – far from it. A bonafide minister knows what area of focus he/she is to be in and is able to provide that information without fail – after all, who wants to hear from a hack or a quack that has no credentials or evidence of what he/she should be focused in from a ministry perspective. For instance, if I were in need of medical attention and if you were to tell me that you were a doctor, it would help to know what kind of doctor you are. To answer the doctor question with “why is it important to know what kind of doctor I am?”, because you feel it would be boastful to provide that information, doesn’t do any good because you could be a foot doctor and that does me no good when in fact I might need to see a dentist. Ergo, “minister” is a broad term. Please elucidate and explain what area of ministry you are in. After all Lionel, it is a simple and easy question that deserves a simple and easy answer. If you are a Pastor, then just say so. Conversely, if you are a hack, then continue to dodge the question and everyone can conclude that’s what you are.
Furthermore, since Alan is his grandson, then I’m sure that he is privy to what his grandfather does. Would you not share specific things with your child which would to help set an example of what that child should do?
Hey Lionel, you said, ” So that means that what God wants is blocked by the strength of the government in those anti-friendly nations.”
Actually, according to Fred KC Price, you are right. Price teaches that God is limited by the actions of man. God cannot do anything in this realm without our cooperation.
As to what Price makes, I heard him say that he makes a million dollars a year. But he is worth it if you consider the fact that without his teaching on prayer that works 100$ of the time, people would be left with prayers for cars and homes that would never get answered.
And did I read that right? Someone called me a “hack.” I am shocked that anyone would dare to touch the Lord’s anointed… oh wait, I see. That only applies to special men like Price. Anyone who disagrees with him is obviously not covered by the OT protection clause.
Agape LOL!!,
For your name to be Agape you aren’t very loving, tenderhearted or kind. But lets see if this answers your question
1. I preach the Gospel
2. I teach the bible
3. I evangelize
4. I participate in Missions work
What does that make me?
LOL Mr. Miller AKA Joe,
Hey Alan or Agape why are you touching God’s anoninted? Don’t you know you shouldn’t put your mouth on the man of God? How do you respond to that?
Oh Lionel, one more thing on prayer. If, you want to have your prayers answered your way every time, remember, according to Fred KC Price, NEVER pray “they will be done” That is a weak prayer that is offensive to God (I learned that listening to Fred preach).
It never hurts to know quality tips like that.
Lionel,
OK, so you are an Evangelist? Is this what I am to conclude? If you are, shouldn’t you be working to get people saved versus running a thread like this? If you think what you are doing is “evangelising,” then you are seriously mistaken.
With regards to my name – we all as Christians should be loving, tenderhearted and kind. I’m not the one who started this thread, so what kind of Agape love are you actually showing by doing so? Running sites like this is not Agape indeed and guess what, I am very much loving, tenderhearted and kind….otherwise, I would not do my best to help you see the error in your way. Food for thought Lionel.
As for you Mr. Miller aka Joe, if you’re God’s anointed and speaking about Fred Price (also God’s anointed) the way you do, then aren’t you going against your own beliefs about “not touching God’s anointed.” A true minister would practice what he preaches, otherwise, he is a hack and a charlatan. Which are you sir? Additionally, I don’t see Fred Price on this site crossing swords with you because he’s presently ministering – so I’m guessing that IF you are God’s anointed and are on this site spewing the venom and hatred which you have been doing – you have too much time on your hands as well. You should be doing your appointed and anointed job (you job, of which, is what in the five fold ministry?). Check yourself before your wreck yourself sir……oops, too late…..
Agape,
I never said I am an evangelist. I listed things that I do that doesn’t make me anything other than a believer and a minister wich all Christians are
Next as you know. Mr. Price says every Christian should be rich and thus if you are not it is because of a lack of faith. This is a lie from the hottest corner of hell’s pit. This isn’t true and isn’t close to being true. Tell me. Read the 2 letter to Timothy. Did Paul die rich? What about 2 Corinthians 11? Did John the Baptist die wealthy, healthy, and with all of his body parts in tact? You still never addressed the fact that Jesus could have had the equivalent of $20 dollars in his money bag. Just because Judas carried the money doesn’t mean anything is in their. Come to think of it. I remember one of the disciples telling Jesus “we don’t have enough money to buy bread for all of these seated” Jesus then took a few loaves and a couple of fishes and did His thing.
Tell me something Agape. You seem to be a fair individual. Read Acts 20 for me. When Paul says be aware of wolves was that loving? Now the problem lies here! Is Price a wolf or a shepherd. The alarming consensus throughout evangelicalism is wolf. Do you believe these men are jealous? You have to at least consider our position. When John in his 3rd epistle called out Diatrophes was that loving? What about in 2 Timothy 2 when Paul said some pretty mean things about some other false teachers?
I believe our problem isn’t one of if there is a need to call people charlatans and the such because you used the word quite freely in your post. The problem is you believe you are right and we are wrong. We say his message is antithetical to the Gospel you believe otherwise. So there we have it. We disagree. I may actually be feuling the growth of Mr. Price and his false message by posting him on my blog. Thus I will stop because I run the risk of you accepting him as a martyr which we never want to give him the opportunity to become.
Agape,
I would like to ask friend, how would you respond to these following gentleman,
“”Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them by their fruits” (Jesus Christ Matthew 7:15-20)
” I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; 30and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. 31Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish everyone with tears.” (Apostle Paul Acts 20:29-31)
“If we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed(literally damned) (Apostle Paul Gal 1:8-9)
“12 I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!”(Apostle Paul Gal 5:12)
Now you stated in the earlier post that
“Running sites like this is not Agape indeed and guess what, I am very much loving, tenderhearted and kind….otherwise, I would not do my best to help you see the error in your way.”
Based on words of Christ Jesus and the Apostle He chose, are you willing to still put the same words forward?
Dear brother, your argumentation is not sound because you are expliciting stating that bringing correction or point out error is unloving. Dear sir this is most loving. Yet you are doing the very thing that you are protesting against.
Remember we must CONTEND for the faith.
Love you,
Phillip
Agape, you are welcome to watch me as I share in this video what I perceive to be the heart of God our Father
http://www.morethancake.org/2008/07/are-you-ready-for-family-reunion.html
If you are more compelled to seek out wealth than what I describe in this sermon, there is not much more than I can say.
The Apostle Paul, a genuine Apostle, said that he learned to be content in all circumstances. He was content when he had money and content when he was poor. He was content when he was among the church and content when he was in prison.
Again, if you prefer Price’s message that one should not be content in all circumstances, but only content with earthly riches, then there is not much more than I, or anyone, can say except I pray you find peace in the love of Christ that surpasses all of life’s circumstances.
CLAP——–CLAP———CLAP
How funny!
What does this man have that causes everyone to pay so much attention to him.
If I disagree with someone, you will not hear me mention his/her or their names.
But, I guess the shoe fits that everyone is wearing.
So HOLLLA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You would not be in agreement with:
John or Paul or Jude or many other writers of the scripture. Thanks for the fly-by comment however.
And yet, Too Funny, you felt the urge to express your disagreement here… what size shoe do you wear?
Ironic right Mr. Miller?
I do have to ask: Lionel are you a Calvinist? Does this influence your view of Apostle Price?
Alan,
Which one of Dr. Price’s children are your parents?
Ken, I don’t want to speak for Lionel, but you may be on to something. I have not read Calvin in a while, but if memory serves there was a long passage in his Institutes about why he did not like Fred KC Price.
(just a little joke there brother)
Hey Ken,
1. Yes
2. No
Pleae note that Calvary Chapel distort the calvinist view just as many Southern Baptist and you haven’t seen a post about them. Well other than the whole political statement by Mr. Smith. But I listen to quite a bit of their radio programs. Add to that one of my favorite authors is a Mr. Roger Olson who is also not a Calvinist. I like many others also, so nah I don’t too much care about that stuff. Read through the archives here and see if that influences anything I write against. You will see a strong emphasis on that as it relates to my docrtine on Salvation though.
Why did you ask that? How did you know I was a Calvinist anyway?
Very Funny Mr. Miller. Yeah it is in on page 887. Fred Price with a picture.
Lionel, please call me Joe.
I have been entertained by the posts that have been posted here.
It seems as though Lionelwoods7 & J.R. Miller has a real dislike for Apostle Price.
I have a question for both of you guys.
I saw a while back that Lionelwoods7 made reference to not fighting against God but is trying to help God.
God created the Heavens, the Earth, the sun, moon and stars, the animals and humans.
When did he ask you for his help?
Why do you think that he needs your help now?
He has sustained this universe for all of this time and I can guarantee you that he has not asked you one time what he should do with it.
He tells you in his word to judge not lest you be judged and to judge yourself so that you will not be condemned with the world.
Mr. Joe has quoted some of the things that Apostle Price has stated regarding the fact that we control what God does in this earth.
If either of you really read your bible it will tell you that.
Apostle Price has diligently over the years taught diligently from the word. He has not twisted anything.
Can you read if he takes you to the scripture and you read it for yourself and he repeats what the word says then how is he twisting the word.
Sure he makes reference to some of the things that happen in his life as references to how God has blessed him for living a life of obedience to Gods word and since God is no respector of persons if God has done it for him (Apostle Price) then he will do it for me.
He admonish his congregation not to just take his word at face value but for us to read the Bible for ourselves because the most important thing is our own relationship with God.
I am trying to see where he is leading us astray. He tells us to find out for ourselves and if what he says does not check out in the Bible then it was not correct.
He has empowered us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
I am trying to understand how you could be against a God that only wants the best for you and you are putting down his doctrine. When you say that prosperity is not from God but it is all though the Bible.
Go though your Bible and check out everyone that was obedient and faithful to God was prosperous and rich.
He tells us so many times that he wants us to prosper.
The misconception is that prosperity is just about money and things that is a part of it but there is so much more.
I have continually grown and have experienced and so many levels God’s best. He has prospered me in so many ways. In my health, my family, my job, and my marriage.
I am blessed in everything that I put my hands to.
I have favor with man.
If I fall short on wisdom I can ask God who will give me the wisdom I need to accomplish any task.
I am prosperous not just in things but in so much more and I learned that from my Bible.
Not just from Apostle Price. He is the one that showed me in the Bible where to find it but I am the one who put it to work in my life.
We do control what God can do for us. If we are Backbiters, Haters, Evil Speakers, Angry we short circuit what God can do for us.
It doesn’t matter how much we give or how much you believe God will do anything for you if you do not have love in your heart for (All) people and you have unforgiveness, hatred, jealousy and any of the like in our heart he can do nothing for us.
Maybe that may be the reason that Prosperity has not worked for you. That may be the reason that you are so down on it because you (tried) it and it did not work the way that you thought it should have so you have trashed the message.
You think that because it has been taught by Apostle Price and others that they are twisting the word and they are false teachers because it did not work for you. (Right)
Who are you and what make you the authority? (nothing)
My trust is in the Lord and his faithfulness and his Love and his Mercy.
My trust is not in the man Apostle Price. I do trust this man though because he has proven over and over that he can be trusted by his lifestyle.
You hear so much about many ministers of the gospel and how bad they treat their families, wives, churches and how they cheat the church and their families.
This man Apostle Price has proven over and over he can be trusted with the little that is why God has promoted him to be responsible for much.
God is moving mightily in the earth right now and his glory is going to be seen everywhere you sit back and watch you will see it with your own eyes.
This person that you dispise so much as a false teacher has taught me so much. He has helped me to seek and find my relationship with God and He has taught me about all of the wonderful things God wants me to have.
I have another question: Do you really believe in the Bible? Do you really read your Bible?
You seem to pick and choose what you want to discuss.
How could you possibly think that My Father God wants me to be poor and unsatisfied.
Are you a dad? Would you want your children to go without.
The Bible tells you over and over again that he wants you to prosper and that he wants the best for you because he Loves you.
He loves you so much that he sent his son to redeem us back to his family. God is a God of family and that is all that he wanted.
Go back and start in Genesis 1 & 2 and see what God’s original plan was.
Before Adam and Eve sinned they were in abundance they were rich because all of their needs were met.
Not until they sinned did sin come into this earth then after that he put his plan into place to redeem man back to him.
His plan included Jesus and he came to be the Lamb and sacrifice for mankind to save us from eternal damnation.
God does not steal, kill or distroy his children. Satan does and he is the only one.
Why are you mad at God? You seem bitter and upset.
You can deny it all that you want but to put so much ferver into putting down someone who only wants to see others succeed because you don’t believe in what he teaches. HHMMM!!
Seems like jealousy to me.
You do not have to help God he knows how to help himself.
You do not need to worry about what others are doing you need to judge yourself.
Are you being the best person that you can be? Do you think putting someone else down will exalt you? You are wrong it makes you seem sad and pathetic.
Be about proclaiming the name of the Lord because you said that you are supposed to be a minister of the Gospel then make sure that you are doing that.
This blog is not edifying or glorifying the Lord. In fact is the tearing down one of his anointed ministers of the Gospels who’s heart is to see others succeed in life.
I think that you should set an appointment and meet with him face to face sit and talk with him and see for yourself.
Don’t go by what others have said and the small exerpts that are taken from his messages. They don’t do him any justis.
Listen to many of the messages and follow along in the Bible and really read the word and get the revelation for yourself.
Instead of promoting the spirit of division which the Bible tells us is from Satan. So make sure that you are really on the right side my friend.
God has not called us to be the judge of our brother but for us to judge ourselves.
Remember that.
One more thing that I would like to add.
Do you think that it is God’s will for you to suffer?
This is a sin sick world run by Satan and we live in it. To accept sin, sickness, lack and poverty is to accept Satans plan for you not Gods.
There is no where in the Bible where it says that God wants you sick, in lack and in poverty.
I want scripture and verse.
Since you are such a good student of the Bible show me more than five scriptures that says that.
Because I can show you over ten and more than that if you want that shows you that God wants you to prosper.
Do you want to play the Bible challenge with me?
We can get past all of this bickering about who is teaching what. Let’s prove this out in the Bible. GOD’S WORD!!
How about it?
I will start with these and check this out I haven’t even gotten out of the old testiment yet. HHMM!! I wonder how much more can I find in that book.
here they are come on send me yours:
Genesis 39:2 – And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
Genesis 39:3 – And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
Deuteronomy 29:9 – Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
Joshua 1:7 – Only be thou strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper where ever you go.
Joshua 1:8 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
1 Samuel 25:6 – And thus shall ye say to him that lives in prosperity, Peace be both to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be unto all that you have.
Job 36:11 – If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
I have one more question. If he doesn’t want you to prosper and that it is a false teaching (as you have claimed) why did God prosper all who trusted in him??
I am not finished yet I will come back with more.
One more thing that I found that seems to fit this situation well.
I am not going to argue semantics with you about what someone preaches or not.
I want to go head up with you with the word.
Let’s see what we come up with.
Check this out.
Enjoy
Titus 3: 1-11
1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
Be mindful for the last few verses you must be very careful to make sure that your message is to glorify the Lord not to argue foolish questions and genealogies.
Apostle Price only teaches what he gets from the word and shows us how to use it. So let’s take a jouney together.
What do you say?
CCC I will attempt to answer your questions as clearly as I can in the order that you present them. I may not tackle them all because there may be some overlap. By the way where are you located and how did you find the blog? I appreciate the time you took to write out your questions and I hope to answer them unbiasedly (is that a word?).
1. I think your assumption is wrong CCC. I don’t dislike Mr. Price I don’t know him personally. It seems that he is a fine fella but as it relates to the Gospel and the Christian life he is way off.
2. I don’t think God “needs” my help but He definitely has employed the Body of Christ to fulfill His will on earth. This is Jesus’ prayer in John 17 and Matthew 28 and Acts 1.
3. I read my Bible and I believe in Jesus.
4. Yes I am a dad, however God operates on a whole ‘nother playing field my friend. I have to ask you. When you read the book of Acts, Philippians chapter 1, Thessalonians chapter 1, Hebrews 11 do you see God’s people suffering? If so is it because God couldn’t help them or didn’t want to help them or some other reason? I believe the some other reason but I will let you answer the question.
5. I am not jealous at all. Why do all the people who protect the word of faith teachers assume someone is a hater or jealous of another’s success? The world has success as it relates to things of this world. If I were to be jealous it would be of someone excelling in the things of God.
6. Can you show me anywhere in anything that I have ever written that I a mad at God?
7. No I don’t get any benefit out of tearing others down, but I do get benefit from exposing false teachers. Next why do I seem sad and pathetic? By the way the bible says call “no one racca” or useless. That is what it seems you are calling me thus you scold me for saying something bad about your beloved apostle but then you come here and call me pathetic, sad, jealous, bitter, angy at God and other such words. Wouldn’t that be a bit hypocritical?
8. Actually if you read Matthew 7 and 1 Corinthians 5-6, God does actually call us to be judges over one another. You may be wrong on that one.
9. Yes I think it is God’s will for some to suffer. Not all but some and that comes from 2 Corinthians 11, Hebrews 11, Acts 6, and other such verses. So yes many Christians suffered and God allowed such suffering. Many of our brothers and sisters in China, India, Ethiopia, Pakistan and other areas are suffering all within the sovereignty of God.
10. Paul suffered something and God didn’t take it away. What was God’s response? My grace is sufficient. Now you want a direct verse? Try Philippians 1:
” For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, 30 engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have”
How do you respond to his verse CCC?
11. Here are more verses to your final question in your second comment Hebrews 11:
“36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— 38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.39 And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.”
Did God want these people to suffer?
12. To your final comment. What genealogies have I argued against? Is the distorting of God’s word for personal gain a foolish question? Is the minimizing of God to a genie in a lamp a foolish question. Whenver we need Him just rub on the lamp and poof? How about when Jesus become “a holy ATM”? How about when Christians are motivated to give because they are promised wealth in return as if the Gospel and Jesus are some type of bubble stock and you have inside information and stock purchase power? How about the fact that many Godly people have died from cancer, bone disease, and other disgusting diseases? How about the fact that many Christians are stuggling all over the world and the Word of Faith guys keep investing money in our ministry so we can buy more helicopters, boats, bigger homes, more land, personal jets, exotic vacations and Jesus is their magic formula?
You see my friend I am not jelaous, bitter or angry (at least not an ungodly anger). I am concerned that many are duped to want the gift and not the gift giver and what they are going to receive in return is the Lake of Fire. I am concerned about the souls of many people who go to these churches who thinks that the Death, Burial and Ressurection of our Lord Jesus Chris is boring so give me something else. What do I get out of the deal? They ask. Whats in it for me Jesus, like being spared from the wrath of God the beauty of, Regeneration, Justification, Substitionary Atonement, The beauty of the Trinity, the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, the beauty of God stepping down in flesh to redeem a people who rebels against Him! The beauty of the unity that occrus when the Holy Spirit places us in a body and gives us gifts to build one another up in love.
You see that is the Gospel. God is calling a people unto Himself, Jesus purchases them and the Holy Spirit places the seal on us. So it is funny that Peter and John “rejoiced to suffer for His name” but you say we shouldn’t suffer because God wants us to prosper!
I hope I answered your question well enough.
Never have Apostle Price reduced God to a genie.
Have you based that information on what you have heard from others or what you have heard from the man himself.
When you follow along in the word of God you will see the will of the Father.
His will is never for any of his children to suffer.
Yes sure his children suffer because we live in this world which is run by Satan.
It is a sin sick world and we will suffer persecution but we will not be defeated.
When you trust in God and in his provisions there is nothing that will be withheld from you.
I noticed that you gave me chapters I gave you verse by verse.
Show me where he wants you to suffer, lack and live in poverty sickness and death.
Where does it say that, that is God’s will. I want you to show me.
Sure people suffered because they were proclaiming Jesus.
But that was not God’s will that they suffer.
Also think of it this way Jesus suffered for his message of truth.
Satan does not want to hear the truth and he will try to quench it at every cost. That is why those people suffered and they did not count it as a loss because they were proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus and the good news.
I think before you go and pass judgement on someone and what they teach you should actually know what they teach. Because all of those things that you mentioned about Apostle Price is 100% incorrect.
You would have to have heard that come from his mouth directly and not have heard part of a message but the whole and entire message.
Never take an exerpt and make a doctrine on it. Listen to the whole entire message then make your judgement.
You should take some time to really listen to him and see for your self and not take someone elses word for it.
You read FKCP Apostle of Faith and you went biserk. Have you ever heard him personally and truthfully.
You have a spin on God that is wrong too. You are giving God a bad rap.
God is Love and he loves us and does not want us to suffer.
If you truly have read the bible you will see that when God told Paul that my Grace is sufficent for you. He was telling him that He (Paul) has the power to make Satan leave him alone.
Because Jesus said that all power has been given to him in Heaven and in the Earth and then he told us to Go unto all of the world to proclaim the Gospel.
And that he will be with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us because he is in us.
We are his temple where he dwells and we worship Him (God) in Spirit and in Truth.
We have to power to trample over all of the power of the enemy. Jesus said that He has given us the authority in this earth.
Satan does not have the right to put anything on us that we don’t let him.
The word says that we should submit to God resist the Devil and he will flee from us. We have power and authority in this earth.
The things that have happened to people all over this earth that is wrong is not God’s doing it is Satans.
And because we have been given the authority over satan and his ability We as humans have to take our authority and bind him and send him away from us.
That is our right as a child of the living God.
This is all from the Bible I am not adding or subtracting anything from it. If you want I can give you scripture and verse.
I am not speaking to you out of the top of my head I am speaking to you from experience with My God and how he has taken my life from ruin to victory in him.
That was taught to me by Apostle Price. God is not a genie and he has never taught that you should get your facts straight.
Everything he teaches comes directly from the word of God that is why he takes you from scripture to scripture to scripture to scripture. He wants every one to know that what he is saying is what is written.
You say that you believe do you really?
I challenge you to take some time and do some real investigation on this matter before spewing all of this propaganda.
Do your own research, just you God and your bible not man.
Check out what he says with the Bible and see if he is really wrong.
Okay CCC,
Philippians 1:29. Can you answer that for me?
By the way if you keep on binding Satan why does he always get loose? That tricky fella!
Lionel,
I read about the people I argue with to try and understand where they are coming from to prevent my jumping to conclusions about their opinions. But I ask because I love to read and study varied theologians and philosophers like Calvin, Luther, and Kierkegaard. I have respect for anyone who stands up for what they believe whether I agree with you or not. To me, Fred Price is and will be Apostle Price, but for you he may not; that is just a fact I’m willing to accept. This is not an argument concession, but a step to not cause anymore dissention. I preach unity all the time and I came under conviction from the Holy Spirit saying that for me to argue and take direct strikes at individuals just because they refuse to see things the way I do is just plain hypocritical. So apologies all around to those I’ve taken direct strikes at.
Funny joke Miller. lol
My struggle Ken is that Mr. Price promises riches to those who trust Jesus and the reason they don’t have it is because these people have little faith. A man on his deathbed dying from prostate cancer at the age of 40 or a lady dying from breast cancer while she looks at her 1 year old child and 8 year old daugher stand by in the arms of her husband have faith bro. They have unmovable faith but for some reason God doesn’t move. Can you really say that is because a lack of faith? Ken I am not trying to aruge but for someone to say that makes me question everything they have to say.
CCC,
You asked a lot of stuff, but did you take the time to listen to the sermon I linked to above, or did you just post your long long long list of opinions?
As to suffering and pleasure, my view is expressed here in this post.
CCC Born and Raised,
Since you so earnestly desire to see in Scripture where God is in control(that includes suffering) and you need chapter and verse, please brother read Isaiah 45:7.
So judge your following statement: “The things that have happened to people all over this earth that is wrong is not God’s doing it is Satans” in light of God’s Word.
The God of the Bible who has revealed Himself in His Son and whose words are in Scripture is not the same God that Price proclaims.
Thanks,
In Phil 1:29 Paul is talking with those in Philippi about what he has gone though to proclaim the Gospel to the gentiles.
Sure he suffered but he did not count it as a loss he endured til the end.
God was with him all of the way. Where ever Paul went there was someone to take care of him. That is called the grace and favor of God.
Sure he did not live a life of luxury but he did live a fulfilled life. That God provides.
Phillip you need to really read your bible. God is Love and there is no evil in him. He created Lucifer he was the cherib of Light and evil was found in him when he makes reference to this he is making reference to the fact that in his creation is the possiblity for evil. Go to the Greek and Hebrew for the true meanings of the scripture. I can provide you with the words to look up do you want them? If you have a concordance and a greek and hebrew and kjv bible we can evaluated this situation in its totallity.
Show me some more. Give me three more as the bible says let everything be established by two or three witnesses.
Come on guys give me more. Prove your point more is better. I can give you many more on how much God Loves you and wants you to be prosperous and to live a good life Ton’s more.
This is good let’s keep going.
Lets try this again CC,
29 For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,
Paul says it has been appointed to “you” and the “you” are the Philippians can you help me answer the question.
Lionel to answer your question about Satan. He is the God of this world because Adam gave him the dominion over it in the Garden of Eden.
We can not get rid of him God will in the resurrection but we can effect what affect that he has in our lives.
He does not have dominion in my life. God has given me the authority to trample on serpents, scorpions and over all of the power of the enemy.
That is what Jesus provided for me. I am the one that have to take authority and not allow Satan to have reign and rule in my life.
Do you want scripture on that?
Ephesians 4:27 – Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 6:11- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
James 4:7 – Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 John 3:8 – He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
I have given you five I can give you more. We are to take authority and not give the Devil a place in our lives.
He cant devour me because I will not let him and I have that authority and it is according to my faith that I have in the one and only Almighty God.
CC,
You are one that said you “bind” Satan. I asked you how does he keep getting loose!
Your last one says Christ destroyed the work not you.
Niether of the verses you provide says you have authority. Each of those seem to be a defensive poster not an offensive poster as you are saying you do.
Lionel
How did Christ suffer?
When he was on the earth was he sick?
There is no record.
Was he poor? (really read your bible)
There is no record.
Did he ever go without his needs met?
There is no record.
He depended solely on God to provide all of his needs and each and everyone of them were met.
He is our example of how to live a victorious life here on this earth.
We are to emulate Jesus because after all we are his body here in the earth.
We are his hands, we are his feet and we are his voice.
What are we saying?
Christ suffered prosecution and crusifiction.
But through it all God was with him.
God was faithful to keep his word he did not allow his body to see corruption.
He raised him from the dead. See God was still with him and was faithful to do what he said that he would do.
Just as he is now. He has told me in his word that he wants me healed, whole and set free.
He has redeemed me from poverty, sickness and death.
because my God shall supply all of my need according to his riches in glory.
Jesus went about healing the sick if he healed them then he is still healing now.
He provides my mouth with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagles. That means to me that I can prolong death.
He has also promised that if I dwell in the secret place of the most high and abide under the shadow of the almighty I will say of the Lord he is my refuge, fortress, my God and in him I put my trust.
He also promised me long life and salvation.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
So you are not going to answer the question? I need your response to Philippians 1:29. You said give you one verse. I did.
I am the one that has been given authority.
Luke 9:1- Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
Luke 10:19 – Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Jesus has given us as the body of Christ authority over satans ability. Read the whole passage.
Well at this time I have to be gone I will return this evening.
Enjoy your day
Come on find more scripture on it I want to see it.
for your reference I did reply to that verse and I said give me five.
Search!!!
Talk to you later or tomorrow.
CCC Born and Raised,
I’ve looked back through your post and it seems you approach Scripture with a dualistic hermeneutic. I would ask you, do you view God and Satan as equals in a struggle for the souls of men? Secondly, do you view God as completely sovereign?
Next since you have asked for two or three Scriptures, I will provide them for you. Isaiah 45:7; Acts 2:23 and Acts 4:27-28.
Please interact with these text. If you choose to give Greek and Hebrew, that is no problem.
thank you,
Phillip I ws going to address this because I perceived the same thing. I needed more information. But since two super apostles (you and I) notice the same thing this has to be true. What do you say CC?
was Jesus poor?
Luke 9:58
And Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
Lionel & Philip, I suspect you are fighting a loosing battle. There is no way to counter a hermeneutic rooted in the “stringing of pearls” or prooftexting. For every verse, there is another that can be ripped from its context to establish CCC’s case.
Granted, CCC might be a reasonable person who if you could sit face to face you would have a shot at coming to some understanding, but in the comments section of a blog I fear you are trying to paddle up Niagara Falls with no paddle.
CCC, this is my final word for you. No matter how many cars or homes you acquire in this world, they will all be destroyed and lost in eternity. Jesus died so that we might live the abundant life, but if you, along with Fred KC Price, define abundant as cars, money and lots of earthly stuff for your personal pleasure, then there is little room for discussion. You will find the verses that support your desire to get rich.
Some day when we meet in heaven and the dross of your wealth is burned away, I pray you have also acquired for yourself the true abundance that will last.
I doubt you have read the post I referenced above, so here are the passages I leave for your prayerful consideration
God said,
“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep…
But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed, suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness…”
Jesus said,
“Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.”
Jesus also taught us
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ”
Paul warned the church of Ephesus, and us,
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.
and again to the church in Colossee
“Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience…”
Oh, and if anyone wants to actually read the post in its full context, then here is the link http://www.morethancake.org/2007/11/according-to-gospel-of-greed.html
J.R. Miller, Lionnel, Phillip
I never said that I am for hoarding up treasure on this earth. Because although I am here in this world I am not of this world I am of the kingdom of God.
That is what Apostle Price taught me from the word of God.
John 17:14 – I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
I am operating and living in the will of God for my life. My life has gone from defeat to victory by following these passages of scripture.
Deut 8:18 – God gives us the power to get wealth to establish his kingdom in this earth.
God established tithes and offering in the garden of eden.
Cain killed Able because he gave a more acceptable tithe to the Lord.
Abraham gave a tithe to Melkezadek before the law of Moses.
in Malachi 3:8-12
8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
Hebrews 7:5 – 6
5. And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6. But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Hebrews 7:8 – 9
8. And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9. And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
Proverbs 3:9-10:
9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
Deuteronomy 28
1And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Just think God gave these things for people that he had a covenent with but I am his child and an heir to the promise that God made Abraham.
So I have a right to the blessing that God has for me. That has nothing to do with houses and cars although those things come from being obedient and by using my faith in the word of God.
Matthew 6
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
He tells me to take no thought for these things because if I seek him first all of these things will be added to me.
God provides these things for me. I am not seeking these things just to hoard them up for myself. I am a great giver to promote the Gospel being preached in all of the world.
God says that if I give men will give to me good measure pressed down shaken together and running over. Luke 6:38
2 Corinthians 9:7 – 8
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
All of this is for every good work.
These are promises that God promises me. What about this are you arguing the these things are not true.
Because you say that what Apostle Price teaches is false but this is what he teaches.
I have not gotten any of these things from out of the air but I have gotten these things from the Word that Apostle Price has taught me.
This is not all that God has for me. God also tells me that if I ask any thing in his name that he gives it to me.
John 14:13 – And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:14 – If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:16 – Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:23 – And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
John 16:24 – Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
John 16:26 – At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
1 John 5: 14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
When I pray according to Gods will he will give me what I ask for the is consistant with that Godly life.
Yes, J.R. Miller I do not have to say if it be thy will when I pray because I have confidence in Gods will for my life and when I pray I pray according to his will which is the word of God.
As the word above says that I have confidence that when I do that I will received the petitions that I asked of him.
Mark 11:22-24:
22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Luke 11:9-10:
9And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
J. R. Miller I think that you mean well but why don’t you check Apostle Prices series on “The purpose of Prosperity” It will go over this in more detail and you can clear your own conscience of this propoganda that you are spewing.
Check your facts first not just one line or two but the whole entire lesson from the beginning to the end and check it out with the Word of God which is the final authority anyway.
Make your own judgement not what you have heard somebody else say.
You seem to be a one liner person. Listen to the entire lesson not just a statement that is taken out of context.
It has been nice going over this with you wonderful fellows but this will also be my last blog. This has become a little addictive to me the past few days and I have not been doing other important things because I have been on my soap box.
This has been nice.
The last thing that I will say is that I pray for all of you that you will have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. That the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of your calling and the riches of the glory of God’s inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead. I also pray that you may be strenghtened with all might by God’s spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you being rooted and grounded in love, will be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height and to know the Love of Christ which passes knowledge, and be filled will all of God’s fullness to the praise and glory and honor of His name, That God’s name may be exhalted and honored continually, throughout the earth by the church, that the world may see Jesus.
I pray this for you in the Name of Jesus.
Amen.
It’s me again I know that I said that the last one was my last but I will not say that but I will not be as active in the future as I have been these past few days. I will just say that.
J.R.Miller
I have just read again what you wrote and I fully agree with what you have said and your references are on point but I have to interject my friend. I think that you truly should take some time and get to know the person that you speak against because what you have stated in regards to him is not a statement of truth.
This man is in no way greedy or trying to store up for himself treasures here because he knows where his treasure is and it is not on this earth.
Because the prosperity message has been tainted by some and misused and abused by some don’t take that out on someone who has done all that he can to make sure that the people don’t do those things that you say that he does.
I am going to finish this now because I am finding myself doing just what I had determined not to do and that is to argue semantics about what someone believes or don’t.
I pray for you and the others that you will come to know the true God and his covenant that he has provided for all of his children.
I will leave you with this one last thing.
The relationship you are supposed to have is between you and God and not anyone else. Don’t be beholding to man. Find out for yourself in God’s word what is real and what is fake.
You are set on what you believe and I am set on what I believe and that is ok. As long as we both believe in the one true God everything is good.
See you on the other side my brother in Christ.
Can’t wait to see how this life worked for you.
Enjoy
One more thing J.R. Miller
I went to your “more than cake blog” I have also left a message for you there.
What is your purpose?
Is your purpose to uplift and exort Jesus as your savior or to criticise and tear down people.
Your site seemed to be filled with gossip and innuendoes It’s kind of like a tabloid but only about so-called “Prosperity” teachers.
What kind of relationship do you really have with God?
Sure you talk about the word of God but how much of it do you live each and every day.
Galatians 3:11- But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Hebrews 10:38 – Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
How is your Faith in God?
What can you believe God for?
Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
1 John 3:10 – In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 John 3:11 – For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
1 John 3:14 – We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1 John 4:7 – Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 John 4:8 – He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:20 – If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 Corinthians 13:2 – And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:3 – And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:4 – Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
If you are a true brother you will go to them and meet face to face and share your concerns instead of blasting it all over the internet and then you do it in such a malicious way that you seem to be upset.
Are you afraid to meet with them? You seem to want to put all of these bad and dishonorable thing out about them but what about brotherly kindness that the word of God tells us to operate in.
As the scripture above say you can have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though you have all faith, so that you could remove mountains, and have not charity (love), you are nothing (in God).
I repeat what is your purpose?
Is it to promote Gods kingdom or your own propaganda?
If your message is not to teach Jesus then what makes you an authority on it?
So how do you know for real if These people are really false teachers if your message is not Christ?
Do you know Christ as your savior?
I did not see much of it on your sight.
I saw the law and condemnation, judgement and gossip.
Romans 8: 1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
If we have no condemnation in Christ Jesus then who have given you the authority to pass judgement on those people?
You are so focused on how those people live and use their own personal money. What business is it of yours?
What if I came to you and demanded that you open up your books and showed me what you spent your money on and how much. You would probably tell me to take a long walk off of a short bridge.
It is no different in this matter. These ministries adhere to the IRS standards for business and their personal money is theirs why should you know how they spend it.
If you or the senator want to know about their ministries go through the IRS which is lawful. To do any thing else is against their and any other persons constitutional right as a citizen of the United States.
Don’t hate because God is blessing these people. Get on board and join in and Let God show out for you. And stop this smear campaign that you seem to have towards these ministries.
Believe me if these people were doing something wrong God knows how to bring their sins to light. He has done it before and he can do it again.
Until then I think that you should practice leaving your opinion to yourself.
Because I know for a fact that God did not ask for it.
He would not ask you such a trivial thing.
But what I do know is that he would ask you about you, and if you were a good steward over those things that he gave you.
Remember each man will give an account for what he did while he was here on earth.
He can not work for you as long as you have so much animosity in your heart regarding these ministries.
You may ask why does it work for them and not me. God deals with pure and willing hearts. People that are willing and obedient and follow his word and precepts.
Contrary to what you may believe IT IS according to your faith as to how much the Lord can do for you.
If you do not live by faith it is impossible to please God.
Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Do you believe what this scripture says?
If you don’t believe what this scripture says then you my brother are operation out of the will of God.
If by chance you actually do believe what this scripture says then I think that you may need to re-evaluate your committment.
Ok this time for real I am out for now.
I will check back to see what you have to say.
Ken – My mother is Angela.
CCC, you are entitled to your opinion.
Thank you for your blog – keep judging (testing) all things in light of Scripture and hold onto that which is good (God’s Word).
With the plethora of false teachers and false prophets out there… all under the banner of Christianity.
The skin of the truth stuffed with a lie.
God bless,

Hi Lionel,
Matthew 23:3-6 comes to mind, especially verse 5. I guess the next thing up from a master prophet will be a grand master prophet and then the most high grand master prophet.
CCC pointed out a a truth that is HUGE.
“This is a sin sick world run by Satan and we live in it. To accept sin, sickness, lack and poverty is to accept Satans plan for you not Gods.”
But God is a BIG God!!!
Adam was created to never die, and certainly not to experience the rest of what man experiences in this fallen world.
Satan HIDES. He doesn’t want people to know what he is doing day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.
What are you arguing about regarding prosperity. I see what satan is going here in L.A. with the homeless. Do you realize that people are DYING because of poverty????????? Hospitals dumping people on the cold streets due to non payment? The elderly having to decide whether to eat or buy medicine? The governor trying to cut state worker’s salaries back to MINIMUM WAGE. We’re fighting here against legalized same sex marriage. Get mad about THAT, not about someone like Dr. Price, Apostle Price, what ever!!….who hates satan’s works. Proverty is a work of the devil
So, let’s get busy and let people know they Jesus came to undo ALL the works of satan, including proverty. We don’t have time for this stuff.
No spell check done. Sorry about the typos.
I was once a devoted member of Crenshaw Christian Center for 23 years. I attended Sunday service and bible study faithfully. My wife and I have given thousands of dollars to CCC church over the years. The purpose of Mr. Price’s ministry is to secure financial independency for his family; it’s that plain and simple. Crenshaw Christian Center is a Brand just like Walmart, IBM, Sears etc. Pastors and ministers gain from their association with Mr. Price and CCC. Mr. Price and CCC is a dying Brand. The corporate board of the church is trying to resuscitate this Brand. Use your brain to see the marketing campaigns to revive the Brand. He appoints his son as Pastor. Based on Mr. Price teachings, he stated that “God doesn’t have any grand children”. Meaning that everyone must be self approved to the lord. It is obvious that Mr. Price self appointed his son as the next pastor of CCC to secure the family’s access to cash in the forms of inflated salaries and access to church resources such as the corporate owned airplane. His son, Fred Price Jr. started Hip Hop Sunday’s to increase slumping attendance. Back in 2005 there were bill boards all over Los Angeles with Mr.& Mrs. Price and their son advertising the church. Attendance is still down from 5-6 years ago. Now to bring more luster to the Brand the marketing team developed this ploy to increase business by having a ceremony to add the title of Apostle of Faith to Mr. Price name. The Faithdome.org website is an online business. This website only offers DVD’s, CD’s and Books for sell only by Mr. & Mrs. Price and their son. There is no mention of any community outreach programs. No mention of any educational programs for the community. No mention of child care needs for single mothers.
Some will think I wrote this because am I bitter in someway against Mr. Price and CCC. The reason why I’m writing this is because our people and the communities live are worse off than they were five years ago; this includes many CCC members. Every church should be alerting its members of political, social and economic issues that will affect them. The church should have a component to teach its membership to use their individual and collective influence to make positive change that will make there communities a better place for people who live there. As long as there are men and women of the character of Mr. Price our country will continue to slide downward. Let’s use the knowledge in the bible and other higher forms of knowledge (i.e, college & universities) to make our lives, community and country better Right Now of just studying what happen two thousand years ago.
Please remember that communities need teachers, doctors, lawyers, builders etc to thrive. The bible can’t teach how to perform heart surgery, teach you how to speak a foreign language or how to cure cancer. No one can offer the community what it needs just from reading and studying the bible. Let’s put on and keep on our thinking caps and stop being bamboozled by men like Mr. Price.
Derek
Derek, I feel your pain brother and thanks for sharing your story.
Derreck,
I am grateful of your graciousness as a response. I am also grateful to the Father for snatching you a false church where a remnant of belivers are trapped under false teaching and authoratativeness cloaked in the garment of “church titles”.
Derek Holt,
Where is your trust in God? You say that it is all a marketing plan.
When did God go out of business?
My life has excelled beyond my wildest dreams and I am wondering how strong is your faith?
Those who are obedient and live their life for the Lord are the successful ones.
The administrators of CCC are people and they have flaws just like everyone else.
Contrary to what all of you believe there are no perfect people and there are no perfect churches, but the one thing that you can trust in always is God and he is not flawed.
His word is true. He is faithful to His children. You cannot take that away from God.
Apostle Price is a teacher he teaches what the bible says. He uses the scripture to back up his message.
You can dispute all you want but he is teaching people how to use the Word of God to be successful in life.
If you take the word and use it and live your life by it 24/7 and be a doer of it you will succeed.
Of course you have to do the natural things as well but guess what if you (or others) don’t take the word and God’s wisdom to live your life you can become shipwrecked and that has nothing to do with what he teaches that has everything to do with what YOU as a person does.
CCC offers job fairs, Help for the Hungry, Alcholics, Single Mothers, Problem Children, Help for new and exsiting home owners, as well as people with their own businesses.
Isn’t what a church is supposed to do.
The question comes down to how do you live your life.
Were/are you some of those that come late and leave early?
You miss the best parts of the service and that is worship to God.
The relationship that you have with God is between you and God it is not between you and the preacher/teacher and God.
This man goes through many lenghts to make sure that the people knows the word, because the word is your life.
He will tell you at any moment don’t take my word for it go to the Word and prove it out for yourself.
Never has he ever said just listen to me and do what I tell you to do.
So I would appreciate if you would keep this about the word. That is what you are fighting against not this man.
The Word never fails.
CCC, you wrote something that I agree with 100%
You said, “Apostle Price is a teacher he teaches what the bible says. He uses the scripture to back up his message.
You can dispute all you want but he is teaching people how to use the Word of God to be successful in life.”
You are right, Price does USE Scripture to back up HIS own personal message.
You are right, Price is teaching people to USE the word (instead of submit to it) so they can be successful in THIS life.
On the other hand, Jesus teaches us a different view of success. He says, “”Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
and again he warns
“Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.”
Be aware
“false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep…
It is indeed sad when you got “so called” Christians badmouthing other Christians. I read many of these comments and I detect hatred and jealousy for Pastor Price. If the ministry was NOT of God, it would NOT stand. You have to be very careful when you maliciously badmouth anyone, including preachers.
Haven’t you seen many examples of ungodly ministers being exposed? Haven’t you seen the Bakkers, Swaggart, and Haggard caught up in scandal? Why waste time trying to “expose” people? God does that in HIS time and He does NOT need your help. God is not some weakling who needs your assistance!
Why can’t you folks focus on YOUR standing with God? The person you see in the mirror (that goes for me, too) is who the focus should be on. Will WE as individuals get God’s approval and welcome to eternal happiness? Or do we waste time trying to “clean” up other people’s homes instead of our own pigsty?
Are you trying to teach so that others could be saved, or are you so busy meddling with Fred Price and others, spreading malicuous gossip and not dealing with FACTS? Most of this stuff is hearsay…you get your lies from others and you add more to it.
You think Fred Price is worried about YOU malicious liars? NO! Why are you so upset about Fred Price having a Rolls (or whatever he has) and you don’t get upset and badmouth somebody like Donald Trump who is an adulterer (cheated on his wives and have been married three times) and promotes gambling casinos? Fred and Betty Price have not been divorce and this is their ONLY marriage….to each other. Has Fred been exposed by sexual misconduct? NO!
How do you think Ted Haggard got exposed? God did this! And nobody was checking up on him and he thought that NOBODY knew….but look what happened!
If Fred and Betty Price are committing secret sins, they will be exposed. But since there has been no exposure, why don’t you just shut up and clean your house? What filth do you have in your lives? Your filth is that you are so busy with lying, gossiping, backbiting and being jealous that you are NOT about God’s business of preaching the gospel, loving and helping people.
I’m telling it like it is because these are things I hate: lying, gossiping, backbiting, jealousy and hatred. And I’m seeing this right here.
Like one commenter alluded to: we have other things to be concerned about – same sex marriages, poverty, hospitals mistreating patients, etc. and all this blog is about is malicious gossip, hatred and jealousy.
The only bad thing about wealth is when it takes one away from serving God. Look at all the patriarchs of the bible….NONE of them were poor! As black people, many of you got that “crab in a barrell” mentality. I have experienced jealousy towards me even when I got a used car! And I know for a FACT that there were folks who was HOPING that I would not get a house….even the devil himself tried to pull every stunt to keep me from getting a home loan, but in the end, I got the HOUSE, praise God!
You don’t say anything bad about the wealthy drug dealers who are destroying our people. And the filthy hardcore rappers. What about the homosexuals and their wicked agenda of wanting their lifestyle approved and accepted, so much that in Canada it is criminal to speak against it from the pulpit, even though the Bible speaks of it as an “abomination”….you KNOW that’s why Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed!
How about public prayer being prohibited? It’s ok for other false religions to be publicly doing their thing, but for Christians – we are being discrimated against. And it’s folks like you haters in here who are promoting this.
I have listened to Fred Price for years. I’ve learned alot from his preaching and what I’ve heard from him was in line with the bible. I don’t listen to rumors, lies and speculations.
And sounds like Derek has hatred for Pastor Price. I hate it when church members badmouth the pastors. It’s been done to a friend of mine who is a pastor. She was in agreement with some members who were praying for a home and they got it! She rejoiced with them! But when she got a new car, these same people accused her of taking the church’s money to get it. This is a FACT. And one of my cousins began to badmouth her and I rebuked her right on the spot because this relative has a reputation for gossiping. She accused the pastor of something that I knew 100% was a LIE and I wasted no time rebuking her. I told her that she was repeating lies and that I didn’t appreciate it. The matter involved a family member of mine and I know that the situation mentioned was NOT true.
Too many Christians believe lies over the truth. And when you go against God’s annointed pastors, you are heading for serious trouble. You need to read Acts, Chapter 5:33:39
33When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death. 34But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. 35Then he addressed them: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”
You have seen failure with some pastors. Theywere NOT of God, ok? If Fred Price’s teaching is of God, it won’t fail and then you are fighting against God. Very dangerous thing to do!
J.R. MILLER
I pray for you
Ephesians 1:17-25
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
God has given all of this to me and I believe what God says to me in his word.
You may look around you and see the situations that people are in and you come to the conclusion that God wants them in that situation because if he didn’t he would do something about it.
You must understand that He has given you the power over Satan and his plots and plans and you have Gods power working with you.
Don’t be upset with people that trust the Lord and take him at his word.
The scripture that you quoted is truely a way of being but it does not mean that you cannot have riches. That scripture is saying that you should not trust in riches to the point where they are replacing God in your life.
He is saying not to store up things for yourself but as you accumulate wealth that you share it with others and you help others to come up in life.
That is what he means by that scripture. Read the whole chapter to get the full meaning of the scripture and not just a few scriptures taken out of context.
Apostle Price teaches us to study, meditate and live our lives according to that word.
That is what I do and God has not failed me yet.
You must really experience his messages for yourself and not take someones word for it, because what you accuse him of is all false.
You do not know him how can you judge him. The word of God tells us not to judge others lest we be judged.
Luke 6:37
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
James 5:9
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
The only one that we are to judge is ourselves to make sure that we are doing what is right according to what God would have us to do.
I am telling you I think that you should get Apostle Price’s message on the purpose of prosperity.
If you actually take me up on this challenge and you listen and follow along through the entire series and you can still say that he is for hoarding up riches just to have them, and that he is saying that the riches are all that you should live your life for and that getting riches is all that God is good for.
If you still come to that same conclusion after doing that then that is on you.
I truly think that you should do just as I have asked you to do. You will gain so much information and insight into how to live your life as a christian and not as the world.
Jesus did not come so that we could be poor. Jesus came that we may have life and that life more abundantly.
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The word declares that Jesus became poor that through his poverty that we may become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
He came so that we could be rich. How can you believe in one scripture and not the other.
If you don’t want to take me up on the first challenge then how about you do this.
Go through the bible and see how many times God has blessed and made rich those that follow and obey him.
Also check the promises that he has made to the new covenant believer who has accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
Then check to see how many times he says that He want you to suffer, go without, be sick and to live in poverty. Those things are only reserved for those that are disobedent and that refuse his wisdom and knowledge.
How can you believe in a God that wants something bad for you?
How can you serve a God that wants you to go without?
How can you serve a God that wants you sick?
My God wants none of this for me.
My God is faithful to me. He has shown me in so many wonderful ways that he is faithful and can be trusted.
Trust in God with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding in all of your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
Proverbs 3:1-10
1My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
He wants me to keep his law. To trust him and to give him of my substance. When I do that he promises me that he will do something.
How much do you really believe that he will do what he says that he will do?
Well it is getting late. Enjoy your day and I hope that you will take me up on my challenge.
Think for yourself not what someone else wants you to think.
Read the bible for yourself.
Let’s talk about all of Apostle Price’s blessings from God. He’s not only financially blessed. He’s blessed in his marriage. One marriage to one woman for many decades with no infidelity (he dares you to be a detective.) He’s blessed in his seed. ALL of his children are working in the ministry and his son is an assistant pastor and doing a beautiful job. He’s blessed in his health. Over 70 and heading towards the 80 years, by reason of strength. (Long life is a blessing. I have an aunt over 101 and still here!) Blessed in his mind. Still has full mental faculties. Blessed in his ministry. He even has his own teeth and hair. AND blessed financially. What good is money and your wife is gettin’ it on with someone else, kids crazy, you’re real sick and those pricy doctors can’t heal you and your on prozak for peace of mind?? Look at ALL of his blessings. He certainly teaches on ALL of God’s blessings. Why does everyone zoom in on the money!!???? And he’s giving 40 percent of that back into the Gospel! Please speak on ALL of his blessings.
The sad thing here is that we have too many people wasting time on “badmouthing” folks instead of doing the commission of “going into the world and preaching”. The author of this forum needs to focus on preaching the TRUTH to people…how they can be saved and not go to hell!
That right there is enough to keep on busy instead of wasting time on “peering” into other folks’ business. I really detest this stuff, and it is common in the African American community to be “jealous and backbiting”. We LOVE it when somebody is down…we get angry when they prosper. We got that “crabs in the hot pot” mentality. I know many folks can relate when they get a nice car, better job, etc. and the negative comments that were made about it. (I’ve even been accused of sleeping with the “white man” to get my nice job, car, etc. and just keep on smiling and “moving on”)
I do not waste my time wondering about what my pastor is doing…all I know is that the man preaches the truth from the bible. And like myself, he is NOT perfect. Whatever sins he MAY commit, he has to go to God with them.
Fred Price is a bold man of God. He goes into areas of truth that many other preachers don’t want to go because of being afraid to offend folks (such as his truth on religion and racism). I have not attended his church, but listen to him on TV. My focus is on what he preaches and I found that it is in line with biblical truth.
We never hear anything negative about people who are NOT serving God (the singers, actors, sports stars, etc.) and their money. We even watch “MTV Cribs” as they show off their bling-bling and we admire that! But let a pastor get a new car or a nice home and all of a sudden, we are upset! We don’t trust God who exposes everything! And nowhere in the bible does it say that we are supposed to be poor and destitute.
I sincerely believe that alot of this rambling in here is due to hatred and jealousy and these traits are NOT characteristic of true Christians. All of you who have been badmouthing this man and others need to repent. Get over your hatred and jealousy! Because if you don’t, you will find yourself dealing with God, and that is NOT a good thing to be confronted by Him for your evil deeds.
I love Pastor Price and plan to make it a point to visit his church one day (I’m on the East Coast). His wife is the epitome of Christian loveliness in a woman. I read her most recent book and I could feel the love pouring from her words. “Widsom From Above” is a must-read…and I encourage all sisters to get this book…it was so encouraging to me.
There are some pastors that I don’t “feel” but I refuse to badmouth them. I may not be in agreement with what they say, but I give them respect. There is one preacher who comes on TV…when he begins with badmouthing folks, I just hit the remote and move on. He criticizes folks on dress style, hair, etc…things that don’t even pertain to serving God. Women who gets perms or wear lipstick…he really cuts them down…to me, this is a waste of time when the perming of hair or wearing lipstick is NOT the things that keep one out of the kingdom of God.
Since Evie mentioned Dr. Betty Price, just wanted to pass on this GOOD report. A few years ago, a brother who was back slidden at the time called me and said his niece in another state was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He wanted to know if I had a copy of Dr. Betty’s book about her miraculous healing from inoperable cancer. His sister has gone to CCC for years and he had asked her also. Well, she reportedly sent the book and I sent the audio book version the next day. I prayed for her, too, according to about 6 healing bible scriptures that I use. I asked about her a while later and found out that the doctors could no longer find the tumor. I never asked how in depth she got into Dr. Betty’s book, but I was glad to send an audio witness of someone who had stood (a while) on God’s Word, but did experience God’s healing and that she could too!! That blessed me. That’s the stuff I’m talk’n about!!!
When God’s word goes forth. God’s promises show up.
We as believers must take God at his word.
Trust and believe in God not man.
God is our source.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding.
In closing, I feel that we as Christians should focus MORE on our standing with God. Too much of peering into other folks’ lives and believing everything we hear…in many cases, LIES. It’s so sad to see rumors about pastors on the internet…many of them untruths. Those who spread these lies and rumors need to realize that God is NOT happy with them and there is a severe punishment for unrepentant liars.
As for me, when folks tell me things about a certain pastor, I dare not repeat or spread things that I do not know about….whether true or false.
Years ago a pastor was hurt so badly by a lie regarding molestation that never took place. He had to suffer the humiliation of being imprisoned overnight. And the reason was because a child was being disobedient and wanted to “strike back at the pastor” because the pastor told him that he must obey his mother. Thankfully, the members of the church believed their pastor…the truth came out…the child had lied. (Of course when molestation is claimed by a child, folks are so ready to believe it, but children can and do LIE). But look at the pain it caused him (the pastor)? Some folks believed this lie. And still do.
What is coming from my mouth and my fingertips? Do I forward these rumors and lies to other folks? NO! Recently saw one about another bishop and it was extremely hurtful. Thank God for those who knew this man’s character and were able to get the truth out.
Lies can ruin a person’s reputation. And some of the worst liars are those in the church, sad to say. They have a disagreement with church authority and find ways to hurt someone. That is the purpose of this forum right here. I have been hurt badly by church people…but what I did was leave because the leadership “co-signed” this behavior. But I don’t waste time in trying to “get even”. I still run into these people today, but there’s no ill will on my part. I had to forgive them. And guess what? Those who deliberately set out to hurt me…they are “going through drama”. Some of their relatives and friends have been caught up in bad things that have been made public. Then they wonder why these things happen.
I left a church because of not being loved and I felt the coldness of the people. But I found another home. And now I tend to get out among other Christians, not tying myself to one group in a building. I cut myself from gossiping women. If I can’t say a good thing about a person, I just shut up.
Fred Price and Betty Price, like me, are imperfect humans. Jesus Christ was and still is PERFECT and look what He had to suffer! May the word of God continue to be preached through the Prices and others who want to get the truth out there. This mess here, the nasty remarks, the backbiting and the hate and bitterness….it will NOT succeed…
Jesus was called a wino and a glutton when HE WALKED the earth by religeous folk of thay era (pharisee and saducee-JEWs) if they dissed JESUS they willdiss His followers. if He is dissed because he believes JESUS’ WORDS he is in good company.i see that some of you think catholism is a Christian religion.catholics exalt Mary above CHRIST JESUS and they pray to angels and idols.if you were diligent readers of THE WORD, you would know better.some of you guys are in churches that have masons in attendance.masons take oaths denouncing the name of JESUS.Bro. Price has caused many to study the word of GOD,if only to attempt to prove him wrong.
if you dont have the witness of the HOLY SPIRIT AS EVIDENCED BY SPEAKING IN TOUNGUES you will always carnally interpret the WORD OF GOD.You do not have the WITNESS to preach the Word of GOD. i see that you all have attempted to correct the brother.Baptist do not believe in the Gifts of the Spirit. That is why they cannot operate by faith.Go look in the Parking lots of Baptist churches you will more often than not find cars with freemasonry symbols(witchcraft,idolotry-evil in the SIGHT IF GOD).All freemason orders deny the NAME OF CHRIST JESUS the HONOR Given by GOD THE FATHER.Freemasons worship baphomet a demon.alot of Baptist church even allow freemasons to hold leadership positions in their churches.the baptist have done more damage to Black folks faith by keeping them from THE Word of Faith(the same word that Apostle Paul preaches).DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH UNBELIEVERS.GOD’S UNDERSTANDING IS HID FROM THEM. -A SLAVE OF CHRIST JESUS.
Many of you are so quick to judge Dr. Price. Look what he has done for the many black and white people with his solid teaching. Many of us do not agree with everything in the bible but we we can agree on one thing and that is Jesus is Lord. You should be ashamed for speaking against a man how intergity has endured the storms of life for many years. Jesus said you shall know my disciples by their fruit. Dr. Price has a lot of fruit in his life. Many of you have never met the man yet you are quick to use your tongue to criticize him. You should be praying for him if he is off but you had rather use your tongue to divide in the body of Chirist. This reminds me of the way they thought about Jesus. No one believe he was the Christ because they were so set in their ways. He came to his own and his own received him not. I will pray for you all who’s tongues are full of poison.
Why should you care about a man and his title? Tell me you would turn down a title if someone bestowed it on you. STOP HATING! When we stand before Christ no one’s title will stand anyhow. Go for it Apostle Price, If God be for you who can be against you.
Well said, His Eyes!
These bloggers just want to pass judgment upon the man when they don’t know the 1st thing about the fruits of his ministry! And all b/c of what …a title? Give me a break!!
Who cares about the title anyway? At the end of the day what matters is whether we have received the Lord JesusChrist into our hearts by faith and been made children of the Most High God!! I wonder if these ppl have…?
Love u all in the Lord,
Eddie
GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995)
“Everyone who is angry with you will be ashamed and disgraced. Those who oppose you will be reduced to nothing and disappear.”
King James Bible
“Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.”
Isaiah41:11
I find it interesting that people like you will bash teachers and preachers of the gospel. First and foremost many of you do not know study or know the bible. You take scriptures out of context for your own agenda. The bible also tells the nay sayers and believers to touch not His anointed. God will judge those who are false teachers of the gospel not you. It baffles me that people like you spend this much time with your stupidity. Christians stand united against these fools (yes even the bibles calls people who are against Him fools). You people might want to seek the Lord and let Him decide who is for Him or against Him. Read your bibles.
wow!
It is not necessary to call each other or even Dr. Price names in order to raise questions about someone’s orthodoxy or a concern about leading others astray. Doing good things does not make someone a Christian or a teacher of the Truth. Gandhi was a good man who bore many good things. Gandhi was not a believer of Jesus. So we should not be measuring whether not someone is fales or true by way of good works. Scripture does warn us to watch out for “wolves in sheeps clothing” and there are many admonitions in scripture to pay attention to false teachers and to beware of them, so that act of using a gift of discernment to do so is not only right and necessary, it is a Biblical command. Obviously everything should be done prayerfully, measured against the Word of Truth and we should speak the truth in love. Everyone in the church should not formally be chastising a false teacher, but those who have gifts or positon or are equipped to do so must. Dr. Price has questionable teaching. doesn’t really matter if he has good works if he is leading people astray. If he is “worse”: a false teacher then he should be exposed as such. A good idea might be to ask someone who devotes their ministires to apologetics and researching what is new on the scene, testing it against scripture, people like Greg Koukl from “Stand to Reason” Ministries, rather than simply being confident of our own views. http://www.standtoreason.org. There are others who are trustworthy. We are also told in scripture that it is not our business to judge those outside the church but within the church, so for the purpsoe of upholding Truth, judge we must. However, it must be done in accordance with the Truth.
As to speaking in tongues and whether or not that is a “witness of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues” , that is an unBiblical statement itself. According to Scripture, the fruit of the Spirit is not speaking in tongues, but in the exhibited characteristics of that fruit. Gal 5 22, “But the fruit of the spirits is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control”. Biblical scholars disagree about the manifestation of speaking in tongues as legitimate today in the church (I am not making a statment about that; just about the fact that credible Biblical scholars disagree). None disagree about Galations 5:22. Even if you are convinced speaking in tongues is still a true gift of the Spirit in the church today (i.e., you are not a dispensationalist), Scripture does not state that it is the evidence of having the Holy Spirit reside within you. That happened to the believers when the Holy Spirit came upon them described in the book of Acts. Does not state that this event will be repeated whenever someone is saved. Scripture does not state that speaking in tongues equals “baptism in the Holy Spirit or that this must follow salvation. In fact, Read 1 Corinthians 1:22: Tongues, then are, a sign not for believers, but for unbelievers. (actually good to read all of 1 cor. 13 and 14 on the “gifts”). Tongues is not a fruit, it is a gift and a sign to unbelievers and not all have the same gifts in the chuch.
What some call “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” really means the event of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that happens at the moment of salvation. There is no such thing dictated in Scripture that being saved must be evidenced (witnessed ?) by speaking in tongues.
I don’t know if Dr. Price is a false teacher or not as I don’t know that much about him, though I’ve watched him and feel he distorts the Word in the conclusions he draws. So for that reason alone, I would question him and it is not wrong to do so.
Woe to the shepherds of churches who only take care of themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! Have you false prophets not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, “The LORD declares,” though God has not spoken?
They eat the curds, clothe themselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but they do not take care of their flock. Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. They have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. They say, “The LORD declares,” when the LORD has not sent them. They have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. They prophesy out of their own imagination. They have ruled the flock harshly and brutally, shoving them with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak sheep with their horns until they have driven them away. Therefore God is against those shepherds and false prophets and will hold them accountable for His flock.
For the lips of these men ought to preserve knowledge, and from their mouth men should seek instruction—because they are supposed to be the messengers of the LORD Almighty. But they have exalted themselves and because of their false words and lying visions have caused many to stumble. So God will curse them to be despised and humiliated before all the people. – adapted from Ezekiel 16, 34 and Malachi 2
Keep up the work.
ALL I CAN ADD TO THIS IS THAT THE APOSTLES HAD SIGN GIFTS..PETER RAISED SOMEONE FROM THE DEAD AND PAUL RAISED SOMEONE FROM THE DEAD. I DON’T KNOW IF PASTOR PRICE HAS RAISED ANYBODY FROM THE DEAD. MAYBE I JUST HAVEN’T HEARD ABOUT IT…APOSTLE MEAN ONE WITH A MESSAGE IN THE BROADER SINCE WE ALL SHOULD HAVE THAT THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST..THE BOOK OF REVELATION SPEAK OF 12 FOUNDATIONS NOT 13
I have noticed the Lionelwood7 has not posted a blog about this in a while. He seemed to have been shut up.
Hey, Lionel have you seen the new Ever Increasing Faith broadcasts about the Making of and Apostle the Affirmation of Fredrick Price.
This is a great program you should take some time and watch it.
Be blessed Lionelwood7. See it doesn’t matter what you say God will still continue to bless whom he wants to bless anyway.
I thank God and praise Him for his sovereignty in appointing me to salvation and delivering me and others from the grips of deception of the ‘false teacher’ mentioned in this blog. I previously purchased several of his tapes and videos ‘years ago’ of which I no longer have in my possession. I used to watch his program as a young man ‘back in the day’ and was intrigued by his condescending matter-of-fact ‘hyper-faith’ teaching.
I must still be on his mailing list because I received “two envelopes” in the mail yesterday boldly proclaiming Dr. Price an “Apostle Of Faith” and of coarse asking for money. This was news to me non the less. My to do list now includes getting my name removed from that list.
I’ve been a preacher for 22 years and the son of a Pentecostal Pastor. My first sermon was in an Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Five years ago I became a licensed Baptist Minister. My goal is to pastor one day. I work a full time secular job to support my family and it doesn’t allow for me to be a church every Sunday. I believe when it’s time God will make a way. This is a time of growth for me.
Apostle Paul said:
NLT – 2Cr 11:9 –
And when I was with you and didn’t have enough to live on, I did not ask you to help me. For the brothers who came from Macedonia brought me another gift. I have never yet asked you for any support, and I never will.
NLT – 2Cr 11:12 –
But I will continue doing this to cut the ground out from under the feet of those who boast that their work is just like ours.
KJV – 2Cr 11:13 –
For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
NIV – 2Cr 11:14 –
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
Jesus Christ said:
Mat 7:13-23 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The funny thing is I heard him preach on vs 21-23 on tv years ago.
Hello, to everyone on this site/blog. If I was a new convert and I read all the comments posted I could reasonable say that there is both confusion and sound reason and who would want to read it, be bothered with it.
But, the truth of the matter is I believe that the father would put his blessings upon what is being said and being done here. One plants and one waters and God gives the increase.
It very refreshing to hear everything that is being written here and it is like audible words to one’s ears and going directly to our spirit. Whether we agree with each other or not
I continue. We are talking about the things of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Thank you all for blessing all who are reading these post…God Bless you all!!!
“Evie said:
If the ministry was NOT of God, it would NOT stand. ”
Wow. I had to stop right there and just say..I respectfully disagree…wholeheartedly. The Lord has always allowed the sun to shine on the just & the unjust. There are many ‘ministries’, political parties, movements, nations that have been one hundred percent NOT of God & they were allowed to stand. i.e There was a time when the Chaldeans were allowed to rise up just for very specific reasons.
The only thing I can really say to you, CCC & the rest who think people who question the prosperity message are “haters” is this: Be like the Bereans. Go to the word and review EVERYthing, but before you do pray for spiritual guidance.
In CCC’s case he seems to know the Word, but his understanding seemed warped to fit what he already believes to be true.
i.e. when God said that his Grace was sufficient for Paul….that did not mean Paul was somehow going to slay his ailment & show Satan his shoe size, or some such rhetoric. It means in this life we will have trial & tribulations. Some things we will never, ever overcome. Yet and still we are to continue to run this race for the Lord, teaching his word to others and working for his kingdom, regardless of what state we’re in.
I’m not a Bible scholar, didn’t grow up in the church, by no means can I tell you the Greek roots and such, and in many ways am a new believer. But one thing I can say for sure is that when you read the Bible, it must be taken as a whole. ANYONE can take a few verses and twist & turn them….but if you’ve read the Bible as a whole and believe it to be the inspired word of God..then it puzzles me that you can actually deny that some of us can be the most faithful servants of the Lord and still not have material wealth.
The way I take it, if we delight ourselves in the Lord, then we can get our heart’s desires. The catch is that when you delight yourself in the Lord, HE IS YOUR HEART’S DESIRE. No material thing, worldly ambition or lust of the eye can compete when that is the case. So some of us will not have the fat bank accounts, but the Lord will provide when we walk by faith.
Because Paul, who no one could deny was a faithful servant, lived a life of privilege before he began serving the Lord…yet when he stopped persecuting the Christians & joined them he had a drastic change in lifestyle. Are we to believe God wasn’t with him then. By some of your accounts Paul was “Blessed” before, but after he started preaching he wasn’t?? NO! That was the Lord’s will for Paul.
this stupid guy try to turn it around to talk about him self no fruit bill smith and who care what you don’t have time to do
My comment is going to be one that stands out but I believe needs to be said; I believe if we all take on what Jesus said when he said judge not lest you be judged: We do not know what Dr. Price and Father have spoken about and to say that he is not an apostle is to say that you were in on the conversation. Jesus told us in Mark that he has called us all g-ds, I bet that may be shocking and even more so upsetting because most of us who criticize don’t even read the bible and only get upset when those who do seem to take giant faith leaps in front of us. I am not apart of Dr. Price’s ministry but I grew up hearing him via television – that man has the word! I believe if we all began to search within us and understand who we are we will no longer need to be jealous of anyone else. Peace
Why are so many so concerned about Dr. Price being a false prophet? If what he is doing is wrong, God will deal with him about it. Truly it is God that he is supposedly mocking, right? I think God the Father of Truth is well able of dealing with Fast Fred all by himself.
We must all keep in mind that all of us will have to give an accounting of every idle word we have spoken. Just as God will review Apostle Fred Price’s life and ministry, He’ll review everyone that has made a comment here. I’ll not pass judgement on Dr. Price but I will pray that he as well as all that name the name of Jesus as their Lord and Saviour or whomever you may claim as Lord of your life if they believe and even those that do not be blessed.
Truth is by calling a spade, spade.
Harlan if you are chosen as part of commitee to review if marriage is for one man and one woman
you report will be diplomatic
stop been diplomatic, says the truth or be quiet
am sorry stop been hypocryte
I am alway slightly suspicious of those mega-church pastors. Especially the ones whose titles and own self-promotion seems to grow without end. The difference between brother Price and the Apostle Paul is, that the Apostle Paul, committed his life and all of his earthly resources to Christ, and lived a modest life without excess. Mr. Price travels in his own private jet and lives a life of luxury. I question the people who build a personnal financiael empire on the hopes and dreams of people who are looking for answers to life’s many questions
Brian Jones,
Don’t look at what someone to determine what their spiritual status with God is. Spend time in your bible and let that be your determining factor.
Many have said that because he has all of these things that for some reason he is not being truthful about the word of God.
According to the word of God in Mal 3:8-12 it tells you what God will do for you if you bring your tithes and offerings to God.
Apostle Price is a big giver. He and his wife gives millions to the body of christ on a yearly basis.
How much do you give? The word of God says “Give and it shall be given to you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together with MEN give into your bossom.” This is the word.
What does that statement mean to you?
Apostle Price have been ministering for God for over 45 years. How do you think he should be living?
Let’s look at it this way. How do you think the president of IBM or some company like that should live? Are they the only ones that can live in nice homes and drive nice cars.
How does God look to the world if his children are poor and can barely make it. Why would anyone want that?
I know for a fact that YOU don’t want that. No body does so why should a minister of the gospel wheither it is Apostle Price or another minister go without.
Gods word is true and it is alive with revelation. Dig deep into it and make the decisions for yourself and don’t let any man be your determining factor as to how much you will trust God.
You must trust him with all of your heart. Go through your bible and see all of the promises that God makes to his people.
God does not lie. Trust God
I have been exposed to many ministers of the gospel of the Good news. Because I have been shown by Apostle Price how to go to my bible and read for myself and not just take his word for it but to read the bible for myself.
I can tell who is true or not. Some may not like the way Apostle Price says or does things but when he takes you to the word of God. Read along with him.
God’s promises are right there in front of you. I have done extensive bible research and I am confident that I know what it means and what it says and I have never heard Apostle Price miss quote anything.
Take some real time and Read your bible. Trust in God not man. The spirit of God will lead you. Prov 3:5-6
I have read many of the blogs that are posted on this blog I would like to address one thing.
Some of the bloggers have a suspicion that Mr./Apostle Price gave himself the title and that it was not bestowed upon him. (Wrong)
He has preached the uncompromising word of God for over 40 years. He has been faithful to teach every week Gods word to the people.
After all of that you are saying that this person does not deserve what has been bestowed upon him.
It is suspected that he is just taking the peoples money and living lavishly on the money that the people give to the church. (false)
Do any of you know Apostle Price? Do any of you know his story?
If you do not know how can you judge him. For those who are set against him. How about you really get to know him before forming an opinion about him.
Call the church set an appointment to see him. How about you attend a service. He teaches bible study on Tuesday Nights.
They broadcast the Sunday and Tuesday services on the internet at http://www.faithdome.org.
Check him out for yourself before forming opinions about what you think you know about him because someone else said something.
Wowsers,
You are correct in so many ways. I just have a hard time understanding something though. How can you say that you have read the entire bible and understand it wholly and you do not believe that God will supply all of your needs.
In Deut 28 read that whole chapter. It is talking about when they have treasures and houses don’t forget God. But understand that God is the one who gave them all of those things.
God told those people that and in these verses God tells us:
Psalm 34:10
The young lions lack and suffer hunger, but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.
When you seek the Lord and walk uprightly he will not withhold any good thing from you.
Sure God is your all and you put your focus on God and not the things but serving God does not exclude the things.
He tells the christian that are rich to be like this.
1 Timothy 6: 17-19
Charge those who are rich in this world that they be not haughty(high-minded – thinking that they are better than others), nor trust in uncertain riches (Don’t trust the riches), but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things (ALL THINGS!! NOT SOME) to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute (Give to others), willing to share, laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
This is what God expects from one of his children. We as christians have to aspire to be that way. God tells us to do these things he cannot do them for us.
Not chasing houses and cars and things but “Seek first the kindom of God and his Righteousness and ALL of these things shall be added to you” Matt 6:33
It is not wrong for someone that trust God to have things just as long as those things don’t take their focus off of God.
Get to know the person you are speaking of. At any moment he will tell you that his trust is in God not in the Things that God has given him. (Apostle Price)
Before forming opinions because of the things that a person has get to know the person.
Really take some time to read your bible and check this out. Everyone that obeyed God and followed his ways they were prosperous in Things not just spiritual. This is true in the Old and New Testiment.
And as a New Testiment believer you have a better covenent built on better promises because of Jesus.
Gods promises are for Health, Wealth, Joy, Peace and Wholness through Christ.
That is a promise of God. Take some time and see for yourself.
I would like to make a correction to the scripture reference in the previous blog message it is Deut 8 not 28.
Read the entire chapter. Chapter 28 is a good chapter as well. Enjoy both.
Come on guys, I know what happened…He was knocked out of his Bentley on the road to Da-masseuse, blinded, and received a personal commission as an apostle. Get your facts straight before you go questioning such a holy and humble man!
‘The Making of a FALSE APOSTLE’
I think that some people on this sight are allowing their own ignorance of the word cloud their judgement. I don’t know 100% if price is Gods annoited or not anymore than I know the exact day and time jesus will return. For this very reason we follow whole heartedly Jesus and not man. My watching of price telecast is no different from my attending my local church in that it is for my spiritual edification( for faith comes by hearing…by the word of God). If my pastor, price, or anyone claiming to be a follower of God goes crazy and backslides exchanging the truth for a lie it has nothing to do with my faith in my God. That remains unshaken because I am aware that even David was led astray by the flesh(having to ask for forgiveness), paul before being one of the greatest leaders of Christianity, was first a murderer of Gods annoited. My brothers and sisters in Jesus it is about first nuturing our personal walk and relationship with God. this relationship then allows us to share the gospel with a hurting world. For the years I’ve listened to price I have never heard him come from anywhere but the word. I first read some quotes from this site then watched another episode of EIF. Price preached on Jesus commanding us to love each other as he loved us…..all the while thinking sarcastically “yeah price is the devil himself.” While you’re worrying about how a man with 50years in ministry is adding apostle to his title….how about we all shut up, win some souls for God, and fight the real adversary the devil….
As Christians, we are called to expose the false teachers, and their false teachings. Frederick K. C. Price is a ravenous wolf, and leading many people astray, away from the truth of the Word of God (Bible).
May God have mercy and open the eyes of many to see and understand the false teachings from this false teacher.
* Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee — Isaiah 26:3
Trust in God not in Man. What a man does should not in any way determine your relationship with God.
By the way for those who are hateful. God is Love. If you say that you Love God but does not Love the people that you see before you. Your religion is vain. You do not follow Christ.
Christ says in John 15:12
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
1 Corinthians 13:2-3
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not Love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not Love, it profiteth me nothing.
Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
1 John 4:20-21
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.
God tells us to walk in Love towards one another and putting down or talking about anyone is against God and his ways of doing and being right.
Many can try to deny the truth but God’s word is truth.
Walk in Love towards everyone even yourself.
Stop trying to put others down.
Glorify God with your life.
The most important relationship you will ever have in your life is between you and God.
Focus on that!!!
